>restFailure does not mean you lose all control, your muscles blow out, and you drop the weight on yourself. Failure is the point you can no longer maintain prrfect form, so you set the bar onto the safeties as slowly as you can and slide out from under it. If every time you go to the gym, you work to perfect your form, add reps, and when you max them out, eventually add weight. You will make good and safe progress and build real, functional strength.
