people who live more in digital spaces, on their phones, etc. exposed to thousands of images a day, socializing in comment sections rather than in real life, with face to face interactions, genuinely start to believe that these images are real life. that the information contained within is as important, if not more important than the actual things they represent. if a guy appears taller or bigger than another guy in a photo, it means that the bigger appearing one actually has a better "real" life than the other guy, in every way. this is why young guys are getting plastic surgery now and shit and hairplugs and veneers are so normalized. nevermind how bizarre they look in reality, as long as an iphone filtered selfie appears better than the alternative, it's all good.
really creepy shit. and then it all gets packaged in "blackpill" ideology, as though any information or argument contrary to this worldview is simply naive or ascribing to some fake veneer of reality. yes bro... the photography and media tricks you're consooming are real life... and real life is actually fake.
