What are your thoughts on physical therapy

>Sent my knee to snap city doing bjj
>Had to get acl surgery using patella tendon to fix
>3 weeks post op, leg is constantly swollen, can barely bend knee when its swollen
>When the swelling is down i can break 90°
>Hurr durr gotta go to physical therapy
>5 minutes of thigh flexing
>5 minutes of calf raises
>5 minutes of exercise bike
> 5 minutes of sliding my leg open and closed on a slippery board
>5 minutes of shocking the shit outta my thigh
>5 minutes of the physical therapist trying to bend my leg after its swollen as shit from all the meme shit we just did
>Never works
>5 minutes icing
>"Great job anon! Lets get you scheduled for your next 2 visits!"

Been 3 times now and I'm convinced this shit is a meme, or at the very least only good for old people who do fuck all anyway, anyone have any reasons i should keep going vs just doing mobility stuff at the gym

It does work, but they overcharge you and 80% of the routine is made for midwits and old geriatric people that never worked out in their life apart from waging and garden work.
You can do 80% of physio at home (except you have a broken spine or lost a limb)

How does your leg react to water?
Maybe try Aquatic therapy instead.
Generally speaking I wouldn't do anything that makes the swelling flair up, even if it means I couldn't work out that body part for a few week(at least 4 - 8 weeks)

Currently I've been using the cold compress thing they gave me religiously, that seems to keep the swelling down somewhat, also been taking alot of baths and that typically loosens it up as well

My dr originally wanted me to wear this gay ass brace 24/7 locked outi, but my swelling was so bad that he told me to leave it off due my leg kinda swelling around it

>>76269857
Ill check it out, thanks anon

My knee when swelling is down for the most part, it was this small before physical therapy, after it always balloons back up

I assume warm baths?
Warm water increases blood throw and makes tendon and muscles expand. Also increases nutrient supply to damaged tissue.

Sounds like a shitty situation but that's the bitter pill you have to swallow currently.
In a few months when the swelling is mostly gone and your tendon is mostly healed you could try bodyweight box squats or any ground that doesn't let your butt go below 90°
BUT ALWAYS LISTEN TO THE CUES OF YOUR BODY, IF YOU HAVE PAIN OR SHARP SHOOTING PAINS ALWAYS STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING ASAP.
You want to avoid re-injuring your knee at all cost.

Yep warm/hot baths, i also try to "work" it when im in there

My last visit to physical therapy, whilst the dumb cunt was trying to force my leg shut, AFTER telling her it hurt pretty bad, i was cold sweating, and had muscle shakes, that was my last visit lol

I appreciate your responses anon, I've had 2 inguinal hernias, as well as a microdisectomy on my spine to fix a herniated disc, and this has been the worst surgery by far, i told my wife if i could have foreseen the shit show, i would have just opted to live with a missing acl

People that try to tough out heel hooks or any type of leg submission are the most retarded human beings on this planet.

Im a purple belt, ptetty familiar with leg locks, saddle is one of my favorite things ever

I got ankle picked during drilling, and my posted foot found a dip in the mat/intersection between mats that didn't allow it to slide, when my leg got lifted up, i lost my balance and caved in on my posted leg, was going maybe 25%, just some freak accident bs, been doing BJJ for around 8 years and this is my first "surgery" needed injury

If you do jiujitsu you already know more and better exercises than the PT. Blast test, pin BPC & tb500 near the knee, and get some HGH (or a secretagogue peptide). A few weeks of this while moving as much as you can without further damage and you'll be better than new.
Stem cells work too, but you have to go to Colombia for the real good shit.

Im currently on 180mg/test a week, was planning on blasting soon but then i got nerfed

Was looking heavily into BPC, but haven't really found any specific dosing listings, ive heard 500mcg a day, does that sound rightish?

Completely unfamiliar with tb500 though

kek you were doing roids? no wonder your knee snapped, you overestimated your powers, the tendons never lie.

180 T is fine for rehab. BPC + TB500 = the Wolverine Combo. You can buy them in the same vial most places. 500mcg BPC daily is the most common dose. Some ppl don't like pinning every day but the shit works.
Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin combo works if you can't find HGH.
And from now on, just fucking tap when they catch your heel or dive for kneebar. Then wristlock the shit out of them the next roll.

>I too am a BJJ fag but a really serious BJJ fag
I have a full tear on my ACL meaning I no longer have an ACL on my right knee.
Did my PT and had a full recovery in about 6 months.
Was rolling semi normally about a month after it happened.
If I got surgery it would be a year + recovery, shouldn't of fell for the jew meme of getting surgery OP. Just rub some dirt and BPC-157 in it next time you will hear quicker and better (if you do PT).
Also make sure you find a PT who does bodywork on you, not one who just has you do the exercises.
I also tore my LCL, MCL and meniscus last summer and did the same thing, ice, PT, BPC and had a full recovery no issues.

And what did that win you? Bjj is not only gay, but its dumb, and apparently dangerous.

Have chatgpt tell you how to constitute and dose it, you can probably run it a bit higher then 500mcg a day considering how severe your injury is.

TRT doses aren't going to cause tendons to snap.
That happens to dudes who are like running over a gram a week.

Thanks anon, definitely gonna hop on the bpc train as soon as it comes in

Sadly i wasn't even doing anything cool, was drilling ankle picks and my foot got caught in the mat with my posted leg, lost my balance as my partner pulled my ankle up and crunch :(

>>76270096
Technically i have a grade 2 mcl tear as well, the MCL was my main concern because my knee lost alot of stability, but then the xray showed a complete acl tear, so fuck me lol

Seen it a thousand times. Even been there myself. Shit happens, even just training for fun with your best bros.
Cheers, hang in there. You'll heal. The hardest part is not being able to train hard. Those can be dark times. In the meantime, keep moving as much as you can. If you have any other questions I'll be here til this thread dies so some steatopygian negroid fetish coombait post can live.

Prior to my ACL rupture I was doing judo. After I was able to have 3 months of hardcore pre-hab before my reconstruction. Post op, I was using an Iceman as soon as I was home. Your swelling should have diminished a lot by the 3rd week. Also as other anons have said, most physio's are useless for active people post op rehab. I even had one tell me my ACL was fine and was not ruptured at all. So be very careful whom you go to with your money.

Anonymous No.76271891 [Report]

I have heard there is more long term recovery prospects from a non-surgical option. However, there is significant money to be made from 'selling' normies the cure. Normies are not wanting to spend months rehabbing without a 'cure'. The cure being surgery because normies HAVE to have something tangible to fixate on.
Anonymous No.76271960 [Report]
three weeks out from repairing a fully ruptured ACL and you have less than 90 degrees flexion, of course you're just doing "meme shit". did you think you were going to show up day one and start with box jumps? retard.

if you want to strengthen your knees, work out every single muscle of your leg, calves, anterior tibialis, foot arch, hams and glutes.

Progress slowly without pain

The only injury you push into some pain with is tendonitis, every other pain you start from a place of zero to little pain, and then you progress while keeping that pain to a minimum.
Anonymous No.76271998 [Report]
>>76269833 (OP)
It's all about progressive overloading the tissues without getting into the danger zone and the subsequent setbacks.
The window is small if you're injured and to be safe they take it slow -like you're geriatric- and the "results" (pain reduction) come from the extended post injury rest period.

You can Google the exercises yourself.
