Replacing the gym with home-calisthenics
Haven't been here in a long while so figured why not ask here.

I'm currently lifting 3x per week in the gym. Due to distance and what not, I was thinking about replacing the 3 gym days with 3 days of calisthenics at home.

Would it be that easy? To just use the same frequency but just do stuff at home, 90% with bodyweight. I also got some dumbbells at home, some bands and stuff.

When I was 18 I switched from home-calisthenics to the gym for lifting and having that adjustable weight made it wasy easier to gain muscle

Yeah, use the wights and bands to increase resistance on the classic BWEs and you're good.

Yea I know, in order to progress a gym is definitely easier due to the accessibility regarding the adjustable weight. It's just that I can save a lot of time if I switch to calisthenics at home. Granted I have the discipline to see it through of course.

Sounds good, I have a chained belt where I can attach plates and stuff, so I should definitely be able to still up the intensity. Thanks man

A combo of calisthenics and adjustable dumbells goes much further

Yea that's what I was thinking, luckily getting some adjustable dumbbells isn't a challenge in today's day and age.
