basically all normies have that mentality
>I could train at home but if I'm paying for a gym subscription I'll feel forced to go
>I could make myself a diet plan but if I'm paying for a dietician I'm definitely sticking to it
>I could self reflect and confront my issues on my own but if I'm paying for a therapist I'll feel more compelled to do it

There is something to external sources of motivation. It shouldn't be the primary driver, and you would be embarrassed to admit it. But building a life that reinforces your good choices is a good aim.

I had a couple of sessions with a PT 10y ago and he said he basically counts reps and holds people accountable because they pay. Normies are weird.

I also did one session with a PT who said the same and that one hour is more than enough to set someone on the right path

I guess I'm a normie because if I'm paying for a gym membership you fucking hell better bet I'm showing up to us it. Nothing pisses me off more than laying subscription fees and not taking advantage of it.

My parents pay 800โ‚ฌ a year for their gym membership. I told them to get some equipment at home and they can safe money in the long run.
They said they'd not do anything at home even if they had the gear.
Depressing.
And they go the gym about 3 times a month.

Habit. It's the way they have learned to live and self actualize, via a Master. A setting with specific coordinates they feel comfortable in.
Some people break their backs for pennies and feel proud about it. same thing.

getting a PT is good if you are starting out and need proper form correction
Anonymous No.76283351 >>76283377
I think anyone, even people who have to do something we consider silly, who is trying to stay fit and healthy is doing well. I hope he found the motivation to go to the gym regularly, and maybe he can someday find a love for it without needing to pay a PT. We should be lifting our fellow man up, even if their reasoning or method is strange, if they're going to the gym we shouldn't try to bring them down.

Do you guys think the incentive to do something is the result of some painful stimulus or is it a positive thing. Do you have to hurt to get good?

normalfags
>don't like to be active
>don't like to do things
>do things they don't like and think it's good because someone convinced them that it is
>can't make plans themselves
>can't police themselves
>can't follow a basic plan on their own

normalfags eat plants and then don't want to do anything

I'm kind of like that, but I'm stingy and I don't like paying for stuff. What motivates me is writing stuff down. I track my workouts, my bodyweight, my finances, etc. and I dread not being able to fill out my diaries and spreadsheets, having some kind of hole or justification in them for not having done something.
