How much does being /fit/ help you in a fight? does having more muscle mass provide any advantage or is that just cope? I think you could even argue that being fat is advantageous in the sense that it allows you to take more punches since you have an extra layer of fat-armor.

Mass is advantageous but you need to know how to use that mass to fight. Fat isn't really beneficial as armor on its own, its just flubby mass and fatsos are easily destroyed if they aren't trained, they lack stamina and burn out fast. The difference is when they are trained in fighting and have some muscle underneath the fat like a sumo wrestler but its not be-all-end-all type of situation. Technique and tactics is what mostly wins a fight.

Ok but what if the other person is untrained as well? I think it should be an easier fight for the fat-ass since all he has to do is tackle the skinny person and then just roll over him.

this, keep your distance and he's probably gonna fall without you even touching him, and if he doesn't just kick him in the legs. If you are dumb enough to get caught then yeah he's probably gonna win

I've never had to fight anyone. Before I lifted weights I still never had to fight anyone because I never put myself in a situation to allow an escalation to violence. I have been lifting for 10 years and am quite large in stature and see 0 difference. I think to some my size is a deterrent but more importantly I just avoid situations where this kind of thing happens. That being said I dont really know how to fight beyond some basic boxing combos and some jiujutsu moves learned in the army such a rear naked choke and arm bar. I suspect a much smaller trained person would be able to inflict a lot of damage to me in a hurry. If the aggressive person was untrained I think I would hold my own. If they were my size or smaller I still think I could body slam them with relative ease. So to answer your question I think size is a huge advantage but a trained fighter will absolutely rock your shit. I saw a bodybuilder waiter get wrapped up by a skinny dude who regularly did jujutsu. The guy didnt pay for his meal and the bodybuilder who worked at this restaurant chased after him (because hes a retard meathead) and got choked out in very short order. The guy got arrested and charged with all kinds of shit but the bodybuilder was not prepared for this fight. I dont want to take leg kicks from a dude who doesn't feel pain in his shins lol. All things being equal it's better.to be bigger and stronger. I was able to easily overcome smaller opponents in army combatives training and had more work to do against larger opponents.

It's most everything. There's a reason our caveman brain assesses guy's size and strength so rapidly.

No, but I've seen plenty of fat wrestlers. You wouldn't want to mess with those guys now would you?

yea since its very confusing why anyone would fight someone who is climbing over a counter to fight you. If you say im wrong, you are racist yourself for defending your point.

Makes a difference. Not just for power and strength but also for the psychological part too. Why do you think fighters get upset when the other fighter comes in too heavy?
