How do I strengthen willpower in the gym? I don't mean willpower to go to the gym, I just mean the willpower to ACTUALLY destroy my body day-in and day-out.
>get tired of holding a static position
>>just stop
>weight while benching gets a little heavy
>>I drop some
>think my arms are hurting
>>stop what I am doing
>etc
How do I fix this? How do some people just push through to failure on a static hold? It's not muscle, it's willpower. I'm not sure how to train that though and I think that's what separates me from athletes.

Tom Platz used to have a hypnotist who would go to the gym with him and hypnotize him to train harder

Pretend there is a group of people watching you with hidden cameras at all times whose job is to select the prime specimens from the human race for the purposes of eugenics to create the Übermensch.

>deep rooted childhood trauma
>your family will die if you don't do one more rep (can be repeated)
>that one time a girl rejected you/left you

Personally I imagine a guy laughing and pointing at me saying "bro lifts only to mild discomfort". Pushing yourself is honestly a skillset but you need to do it
