free tip for caffeine drinkers: if you can not
a) gain weight and you never feel hungry
b) lose weight and you always feel hungry
your problem may be caffeine.
I've been drinking black tea/coffee since age 11 and in 15 years there wasn't a single day where I would drink pure water. I was always very thin because I never felt hungry. Recently I had to stop consuming drinks for a while and after 2 weeks my anxiety which I suffered from for a decade is gone and I wake up every morning with a feeling of an empty belly that wants food.
Turns out caffeine raises your cortisol levels which induces anxiety, and for some people stress triggers overeating while for others stress blocks their appetite entirely (like me).
It sucks giving up coffee but now my teeth is white my sleep is great and I can finally feel that I'm bulking up instead of feeling like vomit after 2-3 boiled eggs.
