>lifting consistently for over half a year. finally surpassed basically everything i can do at home with what weights i got. start to see enough progress to feel like i have no progress, dysmorphia gained, got bicep vain. cool.
>time to go to the gym now and start doing the real shit
>every gym in town has good shit i could use, but 200 dollars and heavily geared towards yoga tier body weight scam shit. also close at ungodly early hours
>decide on going to use the military one not too far from me, because i have family access
>pretty much any hour of the day has a fuck ton of younger end millennial women in the official true crime university, stairmaster department uniform. yoga pants a half size down, very big hoodie (dont want you to oogle the parts they DONT work on) infinite hair accessories that are vaguely "work out" adjacent, and of course a stanley mug
>never there on weekend nights unless sunday. gym full of males late on a friday night.
>leg day rolls around, actually am fine with it and dont skip them usually
>probably 20-30 people in the gym, half women. guys hitting various muscle groups, mostly solo maybe with a buddy, every single woman doing glutes/thigh exclusively. nearly all in a group.
>only leg shit open is the squat racks, finish my shit on the stuff they DONT use.
>every other machine is permanently taken by a girl currently (not too much machines in this gym, but not fucking empty)
>notice girls never train to failure, or exhaust self, do any movement that requires you to look ugly while doing it. rest time between sets is usually just phone breaks with no rapid breathing, minus the few girls who actually hit every group
>uh ok. well im not going to stand around, i guess i probably shouldnt push another set after just squatting a bunch of reps of my new max... ill do 5-10 minutes on the stair shit in the cardio section and then go home...
