>>76296983 (OP)During the covid lockdowns a homeless camp started growing near my apartment, and as it got bigger their begging got more and more aggressive. They started blocking cars from leaving driveways, started demanding "tolls" from people trying to drive down the street, and would steal people's phones and bags while screaming that the person "stole" it from them. If someone called the cops they'd disappear into their encampment and be back at it as soon as the cops left.
Usually I would just push past them when they tried their "YOU STOLE MY BAG!" scam, but one guy grabbed my arm so I punched him. Turned into a bad boxing match where I got a black eye and a broken nose, but I got lucky when I punched him and he hit his head against a tree and got knocked out. His friends had called the cops, but when it was clear the cops weren't buying the bullshit story about a stolen bag he started claiming the cops were the ones who hit him "for no reason" while his friends recorded it.
Ended up having to the prosecutors office for a deposition a few months later because he was trying to sue the city and stuck to the story that I wasn't even there and the cops just randomly started beating him on the street.
