was benching lmao 230lbs and failed on my second rep. I dumped it to the side and it made an extremely loud noise lol. Lots of people rushed over asking if i was okay. It was simultaneously embarrassing and relieving. I have always been a self conscious person, so doing something that i was afraid of and realizing it wasn't that bad made me feel less self conscious in the gym. I also was pleasantly surprised that so many strangers would rush over to care about my safety / wellbeing, as I usually assumed every stranger i passed by didn't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. but it was also way louder and felt way more dangerous than i expected so I will ask for a spot next time i bench in my upper limits.

One day I pulled a muscle in my back doing RDLs with dumbbells. Crumbled down on all fours for a minute. Didn't know what happened at first so I rested for a minute and tried another set. Same result. No one came over to help or say anything so hopefully it wasn't as embarrassing as I feared

Also sometimes I puke in the bathroom toilets after a workout if I pushed too hard. Happened today, in fact. Humiliating but it came after my best session of the year so a bit up and down

Yeah back in the day, trying to recover from having snapped my shit up, was attempting to squat lmao1plaet to make sure my form and hip hinge were good and I snapped my shit up again and had to bail on fucking 1 plate like a bitch. The gym was very full, and there were masses of people waiting for a squat rack too lmao.

Not yet thankfully. I did see a kid trapping himself under a 80kg bar on bench press and went to save him. After I racked it and nonchalantly told him if he "wanted a spot in the future, you just have to ask", he stood up, stared straight forward, and just marched in a straight line out of the doors. Never saw him again, and it's been over a year.

Forgot to breathe between reps on OHP, passed out. I don't know if that makes me a fool though, it seems I'm the only one trying in my gym.
What happened another time is that I risked my life. Was bent doing rows next to a rack, this dude started to remove plates only on one side after squatting. Barbell tipped over in front of me, barely missing my head.

I managed to rerack it in time as I somehow realized something was wrong, but I don't remember it. In any case, I had safeties set.

Similar thing happened, I was pressing the barbell, suddenly things got a bit slow and sounds got muffled and I felt confused about where I am and heard a loud clang. The loud clang was the barbell missing my head and landing on the safeties of the rack, from full height. Since I was standing like an idiot and not crumpled to a heap people thought that I was just an asshole who was casually dropping barbells on the safeties.
Apparently the shoulder muscles can compress into the neck with anrrow geip and with improper valsalva/not breathing you can knock yourself out doing the press.

Yes, but not that badly.
My worst one was doing standing OHP, and I went too far back at the lockout, lost balance, and had to drop the weight to avoid falling backward or bending my arms back.

Nothing extreme or that brought attention to myself. The closest I ever got was nearly blacking out at the top of a power clean. Thankfully I recognized it as it was happening and tensed my whole body as hard as I could until I returned to normal. Shit felt insane, euphoric is actually an accurate word to describe it. I imagine it's the same feeling you get from a choking fetish.

i do a roll of shame almost once a week bc of my current routine's progression scheme. but i've never been more embarrassed than when i loaded a mini barbell one sided without thinking and it catapulted off the stand and jolted everyone into staring and not laughing at me. also little shit like dropping a 10 lb plate on my foot when i'm tired...but the most embarrassed i've ever been was when a woman (young, attractive, in tights) was leg pressing somewhat heavy next to me then got exhausted and pinned under the weight so she called me over for help and i just started shuffling and making small talk instead of pulling the plates off right away bc my first instinct was wow a grill talked to me

Not really myself but the doors in the bathroom at my gym have this green/red lock showing if it's open/locked, there was a dumbass taking a shit with the door open (it was green and I couldn't see his feet under), I was kind in a rush to take a piss then opened the door and caught the mfer lackin, we were both embarrassed but I kinda just laughed and said sorry, he said sorry aswell but I haven't seen him back there in almost 2 years now
