I noticed that each time one of you attempts dips it ends up in either
>elbow pain
>sternum pain
>wrist pain
I would say either drop dips entirely until you heal completely or try them or rings, but make sure your form is absolutely on point
also maybe you need to work on wrist mobility, look up the drills on yt
also film yourself and make sure you are doing them correctly

the severity and duration of the pain is scaring me shitless, so i am on a somewhat break
mind you, not because i want to, but because it hurts too much
just once a week i do a simple dumbbell routine with very low weights (5kg) to get the blood flowing a bit
i assume it was a combination of bad form (bent wrists) and just too much stress, i never did dips before and now my entire bodyweight is on them, i think it was just a bit too much for my skinny ass little girl wrists

i am watching my form in the mirror, but the dip station did not have any, so i was freeforming it, but i am certain i messed up with the above stated things

ok so you can do two things then
either do them on parallel bars with resistance bands
or try them on rings with resistance bands, rings are usually easier for the wrists because your body will adjust itself to the most comfortable position instead of being fixed in place with regular dips
btw can you do like 15+ pushups and just hold yourself on parallel bars with straight arms for like a minute or two? without that you can hurt yourself

general mobility/conditioning and stretching for wrists, like picrel
spend some time doing that, full of range of motion, and don't hold them instead you want to rock back and forth (never do static holds as warmup)
