I joined the gym a month after my friend, he's been going regulalry for 8 months now (+done it for a few months for a while before stopping) and this is my first time lifting regularly (7 months, only did kickboxing and mma before)

I've never seen him act as cocky or demeaning or annoying before. He makes everything about confrontation and humiliating others nowadays (especially noticed it in his behavior with another friend).
I dont know if it's the newfound gym confidence or the fact that he's surrounded by women who are into him due to his major but at some point i'll have to tell him to tone it the fuck down

I'm gay, I've been lifting for 3 years but still look DYEL compared to others at my gym, however my body has changed drastically compared to when I started. My female friends all noticed the changes and congratulated me, along with my sister, my parents etc. I have few male heterosexuals friends, but they also congratulated me. However, on dating apps, even if I put pictures of my body, it didn't change much, because when you're gay what matters the most is your location and I'm still (but temporary) in my small hometown. At gym, nobody talks to me, it didn't change anything.
