STOP PLAYING VIDEO GAMES - They’re like a drug, like smoking or alcohol. they’re addictive when you play them, but once you quit them for a month you’ll question why you wasted your adulthood on them in the first place. Video games are a children’s pastime, one they should be playing alongside their friends from school, but not by themselves alone in their room. A man’s pastime should be working towards something, whether that’s practicing for a marathon, building a playground for your kids, doing maintenance around the house, or saving up to buy a fun sports toy like a jet ski or a motorcycle. As a man you really shouldn’t be playing video games. The coping excuses I see from full grown men to justify their addiction to games is the same as a alcoholic or chain smoker justifying their addiction: “life is boring, I need to relax and unwind after work” “it makes me happy”. Bro, you are an addict. I guarantee every single person here who plays games could be doing something far more productive with their time and be much happier in the long haul. But I get it, you dumped $500+ games + tax + a pro controller on a switch 2, you dished out hundreds so you feel like you have to commit to playing it, I mean, the new DK game is coming out and you HAVE to play it, right? Right? That’s an ADDICTION you have, and you are mentally stunted in a childish mindset. I have 13 year old family members who would cringe at your man child asses for playing video games still. Even the teens in my family are growing out of games and realizing there’s better things to do with your time. I’m telling you, quit playing games, sell them all and buy a mountain bike or something else. Give up the gaming life style and pursue other interests. I know gaming is all some of you people know, but it’s not too late to start over with a new hobby.
