I'm going to see a doctor this week for breathing problems that started during a work-out I had a month back doing pull-ups, and my neck felt kind of sore for some reason. Been bothering me since. A few days ago I woke up pretty dehydrated and my fuckin' Uvula grew in length by a lot. I can't spit without it getting pulled forward. I can't swallow without feeling it get pulled down my throat. It doesn't choke me but it's super weird feeling.
I've had tonsil stones for years by now, too. Do you think it's worth it? Any stories to share?
Tell me what you think about it. I'm thinking about telling my doctor to recommend the surgeries if I think it's a good idea but I am on the fence currently. My Uvula hasn't gone down to it's normal size yet, either. It feels like it just decided to stretch out permanently or something.

Any advice or stories to share would be idea. I really want to hear from someone who has had it done and been fine or if it's a literal mistake and I should look for other ways around the issue that don't involve cutting it all out.

Got a tonsilectomy when I was about seven; since it was that early I can't really tell if anything's different. They said it was to help with constant infections but I'm not sure if it did anything with them.

Have you ever had any oral infections since you got them taken out? That's probably a good indicator for if it was truly detrimental or not.

Rarely, but then again I'm rarely sick at all.

Nta, but I had mine taken out when I was about that age too. I've never had an oral infection outside of the typical scratchy throat that comes with the occasional cold. Never noticed any side effects or issues from having them cut out.
