I know a guy who works in medical development. He says within 5-10 years they'll have a vaccine based on the RNA data taken from Covid (which is part of why they pushed the Vaxes so hard) that will reprogram your liver to regenerate and filter blood as pure as when you were in your prime which will deage everyone by about 20 years or so. And that's just the start.

Creatine is a real neuroactive supplement, but the anti-dementia literature goes literally tens of thousands of research chemicals deep. If you look at the Alzheimer's clinical trials, like 99% are failing but there are a few incremental gains in efficacy over placebo here and there. My bet on a potential winner addressing this "type 3 beetus" hypothesis is metformin-vanadium complexes, but there are dozens of quasi-promising RCs in/going to trials.

Most people without liver problems just looking add extra hepatoprotection should probably drink pomegranate juice and take milk thistle or something, maybe the autism pills and/or ALCAR, but that's really just scratching the better-studied surface of what's out there.

Ten years from now people are still going to be bitching about A.I.s hallucinating fake anti-aging peptides, even if they can already spit out a short list of supplements with enough prompting better than most doctors. Humans are going to need a major re-engineering of DNA repair mechanisms and autophagy to reliably survive past around 150, and it's doubtful A.I.s are even that helpful there.

This is based on a faulty understanding of the body.
The body is always doing its best to heal you.
The body bioaccumulates toxins that cause disease.
Some disease is also caused by nutrient deficiences and imbalances, but most disease is caused by bioaccumulation of toxins from the foods we eat.
So the only true way to reverse aging is to deal with the toxicity.
That means eating a clean diet, and super-charging the detoxication pathways.

Taking a magic pill, or gene therapy, will never be able to solve the problem of bioaccumulation of toxins.

Even if people gained endless youth and didn't die of old age, they'd still be lucky to life past 150 without dying in some freak accident. The longer you live the more likely you are to be hit by lighting or something, so that's not a problem. If anything it would be a good way to fix the upcoming competence crisis via getting the Boomers back to their prime and Millennials back to peak learning ability to better pick up the slack this time.

If this really does happen at some point they'd have to change the laws to account for it. Like you'd be forced to retire after 40 years and can't come back to work for at least 10. CEOs would have to have terms like presidents to prevent one guy from holding the position for decades. On the other hand, as an always 20 year old you could literally start a new career whenever you feel like so it you wanted a change anyway....

The world would have to change dramatically before any of this is possible though.

I wouldn't say so. Its only good at very simple basic things and even with this it gets it wrong sometimes.

implying there are no adverse effects. FDA is not going to allow this shit without research for at least 10 years with no major issues. Otherwise its back to the conceptual phase

Like 90% of the anti-aging supplements out there go for $10-20 a bottle already and are even in the boomer pharmacies; this isn't some tech only billionaires will have in a decade.

Well they better figure it out in the next few decades or else I'm roping at 60. I refuse to turn into a helpless senile old fuck for 20 years unable to work or know where I am like I've seen people do. It's borderline cruel how humanity is designed

Jeez, both my granddads were playing tennis into their 80s decades ago before all the bougie supplements came out... I think getting really decrepit by 60 is just really bad luck on genetics and/or big diet/exercise/supplement skill issues.

Maybe thousands of years from now. But there are experiments roughly doubling the lifespan of mice, so I would not be too doomerish on incremental lifespan gains in that range: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10373966/

You cannot, aside from just saving time using it instead of googling. And it's not getting smarter, just better at being itself (not smart)

There really is gonna be some interesting anti aging and cosmetic stuff coming out in the next decade, but complete immortality and being 20 forever is a bit much. It'll be like Back to the Future 2 where 80 year old Doc gets an extra 30 years added to his lifespan and reverts to 40 year old Doc.

There will always be a trade off. Trying to stop aging is basically like trying to stop the sun from rising and setting. You can understand the science all you want but you can't stop it from happening.
Shit, they haven't gotten anywhere close to curing cancer and they want people to believe anti aging is going to be a thing?

Advertiser that has a drug company as a client here. They've gotten closer than you think and we were told that within about a decade cancer will be like AIDS is now, something you can get drugs for to keep you basically fine for the rest of your life so long as you stay on them, and to prep a campaign for that. The problem is that the cancer treatment industry makes alot of money and they always push back on it.

Actual anti aging will only be available to the rich due to cost for the first decades.

They always say everything's 10 years from now. In 10 years you'll forget everything they said would be ready by then. It's all wank, you're going to die one day. Hopefully you can grow up and accept that before then.
