Whats your style and whats your aftershave?
I just got one of those German Safety razors & I use Astra blades. The ones that come with the razor are absolute shit, but Astra has done me well so far. As for aftershave I alternate between Proaso Green, GC Bay Rum, & Brute.

The beaverhair brush, the bowls and the bar of soap used to lather the shaving foam applied to your face mean a lot more for your shaving experience and your smell afterwards.

If you’re using instant foam stop and start lathering.

The standard Remington for like 60 bucks was really good to me but then I lost it
I just got a China 6 blade on Amazon and I'd rather go with the Remington it's worth it because it has the little pop-out blade for around the ears. The Remington I think does a better job too; feels faster and a closer shave

i personally dont want a close shave. multiple blades pull the hair out past the pore and can cause burn more easily. i like the 5 o'clock look. my advice would be to shave twice i.e lather up shave then lather up again but dont go against the grain, it will never be as close as a multi blade but do you really need baby skin smooth every time.

Depilation creams work OK despite the warnings, but the leave my skin in a pretty rough condition for at least a day afterwards.

I massacre my face, any hair above my beard line gets plucked. Sometimes resulting in ingrown hairs so I dig them out, as for the rest if I'm not cultivating any facial hair, give it all a once over with an electric razor. Then shaving cream and cheap disposable razors to do the rest. Usually bleed a lot. Then I use one of those meme pheromone aftershaves.

Electric trimmer outside with small mirror. Fuck cleaning that shit up. If necessary inside, lay down newspaper or a flat garbage bag over the sink if forced to use bathroom mirror.
Shower. Hot. Castile or baby soap on face worked into a lather, let sit for at least 30 sec, rinse.
Shave with cheap safety razor and quality blades. Don't pool in the sink. Run a small hot steam. Rinse, strike, rinse.
With the grain, then oblique.
Fuck aftershave. Rinse hot back in shower, then hit with tap cold to close pores.

They use changeable blades like any other safety razor. I just use a regular Astra razor blade snapped in half hotdog style (you can fit up to 3 one sided blades depending on how close of a shave you want, but 2 is enough for me personally). I'd say I get 2-3 shaves out of each blade before replacing it, they're cheap so I don't mind throwing them away at the first sign of dullness

It means I got like 450 shaves I can do for like 10 euro. Thats like 900 weeks right? is that 17 years? Is my math off lmao.

Etsy is great. I bought a Gillette Black Tip Super Speed for $18 off a guy on etsy who refurbs old safety razors and sells them. I've used it daily for 4 years and it's been great.

I use the one that is similar to the OP's picture, but I always get major cuts from the angles. Recommend me one without this problem.
Also, are you supposed to shave against the hair's grow position? If I do, my skin hurts. If I don't, I always have stubble and the girls complain after, if we kiss a lot.

How hard is it to shave your head with one of those?

I bought like 10 different types of blades from maggards in a sample pack when I bought a razor. I found the ones I like the best are Gillette 7 o'clocks, where I get a close shave, never nick myself, and can use each blade for about a week. Everyone is different but I do think it's a mix of getting the hang of it and finding a blade you like.
I never shave against the grain because I get razor burn no matter what I do.

first you shave in the direction of the hair, then you can do a second pass against. The latter is trickier and you'll need a few tries to learn how to do it without irritating your skin, it's mostly about practice.
After shaving wash your face with cold water, dry it, do a pass with an alum block (even if you didn't cut yourself), leave it for a couple of minutes then wash it off (at this point I usually shower) and finally put on some anti-irritation after shave lotion (Nivea's is fine). This process helps a lot with irritation in my experience.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you get cuts from the angles

Corners are annoying, but those are about practice too, idk how much difference another razor would make. Do short strokes, what cuts you is the angle between the razor changing so you have to do short movements while trying to maintain the ideal cutting angle. Eventually it'll become natural especially if you stick to the same razor, but at first you have to be careful and shaving properly will be slow
