-Full of White people and Asians
-No fat women
-High trust gym
-Female to male ratio 1:1
-A mental and physical workout
-Creates Practical Strength
-Easy shoulder and back gains

>Inb4 tendons

Never been to a climbing gym where this is the case.
>Easy shoulder and back gains
Don't see how you'd get shoulder gains from climbing other than rear delt, and bodybuilding is going to be more effective for both anyway
Other than that I agree and I do like bouldering, but it's secondary to bodybuilding for me.

I climb but I’m also a mediocre powershitter and don’t have the build to be a good climber. I only do it to improve my technical skills for alpine climbing and I only do alpine climbing to go snowboarding. I don’t like height.

I’ll admit climbers do have a pretty solid physique, their feet are fucked up though so if you’re a foot fag tough luck.
Also there’s a lot of asians into climbing and bouldering idk why.

$190 for a 10 "Punches" or come in anytime you want 10 times
$130 to start then $70 bucks a month or $30 bucks per week for a membership
$20 Bucks per Class to get instruction about climbing or bouldering but some are free with a membership
It's the autistic prices and weird membership levels that turns me off most of these places. It's never a simple.

Got a day pass to a climbing gym before

I don’t hate it. Seems like a pretty solid workout, I remember my forearms burning like hell for the next few days.

It boils down to, is this something I feel like I want to do 5-6 days a week? Climbing, not so much. Lifting weights is fun because there’s a lot a variety I can do and program myself to hit certain goals. Climbing just seems repetitive. Plus, I don’t know of any climbing gyms that are open super early or late at night, which is when I tend to workout.

If climbing is your thing, have at it. Nothing wrong with it and I’m not here to hate. I just don’t see me fitting it into my lifestyle as a consistent form of exercise.

How insufferable. I need to be around racists who are in borderline poverty yet support capitalism, have no family yet pretend to be into 'family values', and grew up disadvantaged and resent anyone who didn't. I'm also not big on formal education. I went to the school of hard knocks. Also a bit of a gun guy. Sam Hyde is based. I don't believe in vaccinations. You don’t have to be thin. You can be a strong 200lb climber doing V7s/V8s, which is considered advanced on the bouldering walls, it will just take 3 or 4 years of consistent training.
Climbing, particularly bouldering as its more strength focussed rather than endurance, can give you a decent physique, you just have to be willing to bulk up to around 180lbs before you start to see the real benefits. The heavier you are the better you will look up to a certain point. A lot of skinny dweebs would see the extra weight as a hinderance, but its basically like having a weighted vest compared to where you would otherwise be had you chosen not to gain weight, and considering your basically doing pull-ups on the wall in awkward positions which often shift the weight onto a single arm at times in contracted positions, it will be a huge benefit.

Even so, I think if people just added a couple of sets of weighted body weight exercises to their routine, particularly weighted dips to prevent muscle imbalances from climbing, they’d have a solid looking physique with relatively low effort. I personally believe that a lot of climbers just suck at eating, and so they end up squandering their aesthetic potential out of laziness and fear that they’ll have to drop down to easier routes.

I know Magnus is only 160lbs, but if he bulked up another 20lbs he’d almost certainly look better and be stronger overall.

>High trust gym
Lol sure, I wouldn't trust a climber with a drawn up sheep. The mentality of a person climbing with safety gear on and pretending it's some kind of an achievement to make it all the way up just screams they are a person that never took their life's training wheels off.
>-Female to male ratio 1:1
Hell yeah, wine aunts and homos galore, STDs to go around!
>-A mental and physical workout
Once again if a fake challenge gives you a mental workout you're not living in real life. Sure it's physically taxing but so are muscle ups, flags, and planks, with the added benefit of those not coming with the cult mentality of being a special climbing snowflake tho

i liked climbing as a kid and teenager, urban climbing mainly. i ended up liking hot sauces then eventually IPA's then i realized alcohol is dog shit and hot sauces just give me liquid fiery shits.

climbing is still kinda fun though, climbing trees and whatnot. going to rock climbing gyms sounds really fucking gay though

These are the real reasons and if they try to tell you anything else, it's cope.

it's actually pretty fun but you should do it as an accessory workout to train for actual rock climbing, which is significantly more satisfying

Sounds like a post I made, particularly around the rich parents and most of their attitudes.

Im 95kg/210 at 6 foot. Climb UK6b, some 6c, translates to a v6/v7. I did drop a bit of weight down to 89-90kg and it was so much easier, but too busy to be going climbing often, so back on the squats and OHP and running as my main activities at home and weight back on.

Climbing is fun every once in a while, but as a long term sport it just has a high barrier of entry in terms of physicality. If you are just atarting out you can't do it more than a couple of times a week because of the strain in your hands and forearms. After the first plateau when you can consistently hold your weight up it improves, but most normies won't stick around for that, especially since the increments of improvement are so small. Number going up at a powerlifting gym just appeals to more people

Climbing itself has no real value outside being a fun activity if you are into it.
Most climbers have turbo dyel physiques because they believe in the strength to weight ratio meme, the few climbers with good physiques also lift weights as part of their training because they understand the importance of absolute strength.

If your goal is to have a good physique by climbing, actually climbing on the wall will not do anything for you, doing pull ups and dead hangs with weight on the hang boards, training on the campus board and lifting weights will get you that top climber physique while improving your climbing skills, infact, every advance climber will tell you that hang boards and campus boards are how you get good at climbing and how to break past an intermediate level of climbing.

I haven't had anyone from any of the climbing gyms or outdoor crags I've visited over the last 10 years ever talk about any of that shit. Literally not once.

It's in the same category as caving: a hobby for white people who are unable to satisfy their death drive in healthy, sane ways and instead feel the need to be a fucking faggot about the whole thing.
