forearms

what I wanted from the gym:
>burly forearms (like my dad's)
>wide shoulders (like my dad's)
and I got close to none of that (despite lifting serious weights), since all that seems to be largely conditioned by genetics (frame structure)
I'm seriously disappointed in my inherent inability to achieve the proper "manly" aesthetics and I firmly think lifting does very little to someone with poor frame&insertions compared to someone with decent genetics, it's fucking grim once you realize the extent of far how it goes.

Information about how long and with what routine OP has been lifting is conspicuously absent from this post

Don't bother. Certain /fit/ posters believe everyone can be world class if they'd put in enough effort and refuse to think there's a genetic cap. They'll say it's almost impossible to hit it, and in most cases it is, but the last, say, 20% is going to require doing everything right and being totally optimized, especially since someone in that situation would have a harder time gaining anyway. So if your 80% is someone else's 50%, they'll shit on you for slacking (ironically despite having acheived a lower percentage of their potential). I'm making some generalizations and assumptions to illustrate the point, obviously.

I guess you budded off your dad? Or were your parents siblings?

I look like my dad if he was jacked. You like your dad if he was a faggot who thinks you need to be world class to get broad shoulders and thick forearms because it's easier than facing the fact that you need to try harder.

Inculcating genetic determinism into chud brains while simultaneously wrecking their environments has been such an effective strategy, look how fucking brain broken and cognitively dissonant this retard is

What dissonance? You don't even know what that means. Just tell us how far you've progressed lifts involving the shoulders and forearms except don't because you clearly haven't.

you can 100% get burly forearms from lifting, you just need to train them specifically
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OETmdyyinsU
shoulders are more genetic but you can still train your delts and traps
how much do you OHP?

Impressive specimens of brainrotted doomerism. Enjoy being dyel forever, nitwits
>>76355271
You don't even need to train them specifically. Just do lifts that involve the arms with heavy weights and progressive overload lol
Training specifically for forearms will get you faster results, but it is not strictly necessary
