How strong can human grip become
I keep having dreams about crushing peoples necks and arms with just grip and I am wondering if this is a fighting style with potential.
For self defense purposes.

I don't know theoretical limits but there are vids of people crushing unopened soda cans and apples. Or doing weighted one-arm deadhangs. If someone like that managed to grip you by the throat they could collapse your windpipe like a paper straw. However crushing muscles and bones? Unlikely. I imagine you could fuck up someone's palm or wrist by squeezing it too hard (dislocated joints and extreme pain).
I've bought myself a set of these bad boys about 3 months ago. I can comfortably do the 46kg one 12x and 68kg one 5x with failure on last rep. The 113kg fucker still won't budge though. This translates pretty accurately to my deadhang: about 5s one handed and 1:40 two handed @91 kg bodyweight.
Keep on training.

I'm only up to 40kg myself. I basically needed physical therapy so I am thankful for those dreams I had. I think it is theoretically possible. You would need 200kg to crush most bones, snapping to that grip strength quickly might also require training especially. The world record is 127kg apparently. So the dream can't be grasped. But it won't stop me from training grip.
>>76356481
I doubt I will ever be in a scenario go try, but if I get punched in the face while defending myself I think that's a development most people would expect as a possibility while defending themself in an altercation. It does not surprise me.

This is just a chart about who gets pushed to do extreme manual labor or serious sports that arent memeball ones as a kid + diet
Every country right of turkey consumes lots of meat and dairy and has a lot of focus on youth sport programs, Chile is an exception due to their sport infrastructure being on the weaker side and UAE because they only focus on vanity (also because it's a slave state of arabs and their indian toilet scrubbers)
For china iran colombia it's the same sports from childhood argument and manual labor but dont have the best diets
Everyone else has milder manual labor but shitty diets, zimbabwe is high ish because of the extreme manual labor factor alone
There's no denying that there's a genetic factor but here it's unironically just a socio-economic issue

Fun fact: it only takes about 40-45 kg of pinching and pulling force to rip someone's ear clean off. So pretty much if you're at >80kg bodyweight and can do one explosive pull up, you could probably do it.

>around 45 pounds of force at 90 degrees for a typical forearm, but this can be higher for individuals who have conditioned their bones through training.
> On average, a person can exert a grip strength of around 20-50 pounds of force. However, this can be significantly higher in certain situations, such as during physical activities or sports.
It might be possible.

Big hands matter more for being able to grip a larger object. NO GAY JOKES!!!
My olds boss was some boomer with giant hands. No taller than 5โ€™10 but hands almost twice my size. There were many things that he was able to do much easier, not because my forearm muscles are weaker than his but because his fingers and his palm could wrap around things so he didnโ€™t have to exert as much force.

> Average person stats based on majority Indian and Chinese people due to their population numbers skew the term "average" to their lowest points.
Grim. I hope you are just talking about untrained grip, its relative easy to get to 250lbs with just regular training with a gripper and otherwise doing shit like deadhangs and knuckle push ups.
>>76356256 (OP)
450lbs is pretty much peak grip for majority of population.

Just do dls and shrugs for grip, plus grip training. You get to where the joints feel stiff and just make it your leg pl block.
Anonymous

>>76363897
the bottom one is used as such: In a controlled manner squeeze it down and once its at the bottom hold it tight for time and rep it out like that until you fatigue your muscles. You can train fingers and thumbs with that machine and it works the hand muscles at the top of your hand. Basically pinching power and makes your grip more stiff.

You are among the best posters on the entire site, I have to say.
No thread appears to be wasted or maybe I just haven't been here long enough to know what the shitposting/demoralization psyops are.
