I have a hard time believing that this is apparently what does all the lifting especially if you're a twig who benches 300

The whole idea that strength and muscle hypotrophy are different things is complete bullshit. When your muscle grow, you become stronger, simple as.
When you squat a lot, you will become better at squatting, not because you're stronger, but because your technique improved. This is where the central nervous system is involved. It improves your coordination and muscle interaction, but that doesn't mean that it makes you stronger.

>all the lifting
it doesn't do any of the actual work, it just tells what muscles to fire and when

because at some point it stops being about gaining muscle and simply about getting better at the technique - think about like, skateboarding, tennis, etc. none of those require muscle. someone who can land a kick flip or 360 on a skateboard hasn't developed any muscle. they just got better at doing it. if you throw a spiral football everyday at some point you'll become really, really good at throwing the perfect spiral. same thing happens with lifting. at some point, you just become really good at bench pressing, even if you haven't gotten bigger or gained more muscle. the technique improvements start to become undeniable and that adds weight to your bench.

Skeles who are strong have the worst possible genetics

You literally need like a 315lbs bench press to get the same results I get with a 185lbs bench

Ive seen this myself in person, my cousin is a strong-skele, he his legs squatting 315lbs for 10 rep sets were still smaller than my legs when I was only Squatting 135lbs for 10. My legs are 225lbs for 10 are like 2X his size.

This is a great post but getting great at benching heavy is only gonna make you stronger. Theres no argument against actually lifting retarded heavy weights unless youre 1rm chasing.

We utilize only a small percentage of muscles during a single lift. Our brain limits it based on the strength of our tendons, ligaments and core. Thus training all that can significantly improve strength without any actual gain in muscle mass.
Verdict - you are a retard knowing nothing about lifring.

On one hand, growing muscle does make you stronger
On the other hand, strength is overwhelmingly a function of CNS recruitment and this is incredibly obvious when you look at elite light weight lifters in WL/PL being able to move weights with a fraction of the muscle mass of much larger people who don't have the same training/genetics.

Verkoshansky documented this, daily strength is about 20-40% of top end reserve strength for untrained populations

Trvke. What powersharters call strength is basically a combination of technique with actual strength, they would have to deload to use bodybuilding technique.
>>76360197 (OP)
If this was true, animals wouldn't need any muscles, and we would be stronger than a bear since our brains are more powerful.

I mean, at the end of the day, it comes down to what is the definition of strength. If, for example, the definition of strength is deadlift one rep max, then an elite weight lifter is stronger than bear, because a bear cannot perform a deadlift (due to lack of opposable thumbs).
