hi guys, I'm now 1 week into my workout journey but I wonder if I can build any muscle if I eat before I workout then fast for the entire day kinda like intermittent fasting. Because I only can eat when I work at the restaurant, and fast for the rest of the day to save some money.

Also is there a time window between eating then workout for the best outcome? thanks guys!

Yeah you can there was a period where I would eat 1 meal a day and I was muscular and made strength gains. Literally would just get a chipotle burrito (chicken and steak) then work out, then drink whey. But I should warn you my dad and brother were both D1 college football players and I probably have top 5% mesomorph genes.

I was eating about 1200 calories and getting 80g of protein. In that ballpark. My body surprisingly did not act like it was starving. Just leaned out while getting stronger

Yes you can eat before working out, your body stores protein over multiple days. But you should let your body digest for at least 2 hours before exercising intensly
