Being skinny with an extraordinarily big belly is oftentimes mistaken as "being skinnyfat", which is NOT ALWAYS THE CASE.
Your first step is getting a body fat % measurement, using calipers or a good accurate measurement device (don't use home scales, they're not good).
If you body fat is under 30% and you have skinny arms, skinny everything but a big belly, proceed with the rest of this post.
Chances are you have gut dysbiosis. Could be SIBO, IMO, candida overgrowth. There are a shit ton of these. Essentially: Your diet was so bad (and maybe you used and abused antibiotics for whatever reason when growing up) that your belly is filled with terribly bad bacteria and almost no good ones. The bad ones produce gas (methane or hydrogen generally). That turns you into an ET/pregnant skinny bloatlord monster.
And no, nothing you can you through diet will help. You can starve the bacteria but these organisms have evolved to survive, hell, they survive in acidic conditions inside your stomach so you'd die fasting before they're gone.
Some types are harder/almost impossible to cure, and the testing is kind of complex. Most of them require a day of fasting and then a breath test after drinking some shit that makes the bacteria poop incontrollably. That way, in the test they can see methane or hydrogen spikes and determine how many shitty bacteria you have and give you the only reasonable cure: Antibiotics (specific ones for this)
There are some supplements that can help, one of them is oregano oil, but I can't say much about it.
Anyway, I was a bloatlord before SIBO and now I look more or less normal. After 6 months SIBO came back though. Bacteria is resilient like that, so you might need several cycles of antibiotics while eating next to no carbs (CARBS ARE WHAT THESE THINGS NEED TO SURVIVE)
