>>76367907 (OP) >local pool is way too warm for intense swimming, feels like passing out >chemicals in the water irritate the skin/eyes >basically bathing with "people" who barely ever wash themselves >always either going faster than the swimmer in front or slower than the one behind you

This can be super dangerous, I only go to giant fuck huge city funded pools for this reason. I’ve been to some pools owned by private businesses or residential apartments that smelled and looked like literal shit
Someone blackpill me on this. Say I swim at a moderate pace with breaks, what's the calories lost considering the same approximate intensity compared to other cardios like rooning and ellipticals? My knees are fucked

I love butterfly, I mog everyone in the pool, some old lady swimming in the fast lane even complained about me scaring her. But it starts fucking my right shoulder (rotator cuff I guess), sometimes I can't do upper body pressing for days if I don't apply voltaren or tiger balm right after swimming

here you go >>>/lgbt/ faggot, and that's not even a swimmer body. >>76368314
you won't fuck your knees any further by swimming, maybe avoid breast stroke since it's the stroke that engages legs the most
damn, all the people complaining about gym pools in here...
quite content with the one in my parents house rn, it's like only 15m long but i'm a bad swimmer atm so that's enough (besides swimming naked is goated actually) but seems like ill have to switch routines once i move out in like august

Damn anon pretty good pace. I will do 100s on descending intervals. With 2 min, 1:55, 1:50. Then start over at 2 min. I swim them on about 1:30. But it's an exhausting pace.

It's honestly more about technique and conditioning than strength. I mogged much bigger dudes in the 100 fly in high school because I was just good at it. I did have broad shoulders but was good at the rhythm
>>76371119 >The men's 200 metre butterfly event at the 2024 Summer Olympics was held from 30 to 31 July 2024 at Paris La Défense Arena, which was converted to a swimming pool for the swimming events.
Sorry you're retarded. Get better anon!

Breast is very demanding if you're good. Fly is all a about rhythm. If you got that down you can swim a lot more efficiently rather than powering through.

you blow bubbles towards your nose from your mouth, rise up from the water, breathe back in, then repeat. did you have swimming at high school? genuinely curious because that's pretty important knowledge if you were drowning or smth
Been swimming more and more lately and Im absolutely loving it. I always said I wanted to go swimming and eventually I just stopped putting it off and it turned out to be amazing.I just do the crawl every time but I feel myself getting stronger and stronger every. I dont really have a problem motivating myself to go lifting but the pool is viewable through a window in the weight room so I have to admit I've skipped weight days a few times from the temptation to go swimming.

Any form of cardio you can do for long periods of time while elevating your heartbeat is great. Swimming is great especially if you have injuries which prevent you from running.
