I grew up eating the standard goyslop diet, despite my mother's best efforts to always provide my family with healthy homecooked meals. It only got worse in college. But when I started working out I wanted to maximise my results, so I also started eating healthy. That made me feel good, both physically and psychologically, so I kept it up. Now eating junk food makes me feel like shit, and I don't even enjoy the taste anyway since it absolutely rapes your taste buds.

Chips are my kryptonite. I can go without any kinds of sweet (maybe a monster zero sometimes), but when it comes to those fucking potatoes I struggle hard. I try to do things like make a rule that I won't eat breakfast if I eat chips and then try to convince myself eating breakfast is preferable to eating slop, but it keeps coming back. I eat less nowadays but it's a slow process.
inb4 >just don't eat
Well that's the goal but the process is something I find difficult.

I just binge on chips and sweets once a week and go on with my life. I work hard, train hard, eat relatively clean most of the time, rarely blow money on bullshit, the economy and everything is slowly going to shit, I'm not going to get a proper payoff for my struggles, so why shouldn't I get some cheap dopamine from time to time?

eat them, but in moderation, to the point where you don't get cravings. if you get cravings, maybe you're not eating the right foods in addition to this garbage. it should be a snack, a morsel, nothing more than that. you're probably malnourished if you can't resist them 2bh.

of course you can always just abstain from them completely, but I am saying that a normal person should be able to eat a small portion of them and not get withdrawals like they need their fix or whatever.

>Now eating junk food makes me feel like shit
This is the biggest cope ever, this cope is on par with "i prefer my mom's cooking over mcdonalds". Fast food is fucking delicious and it mogs every other food out there because its literally scientifically designed to taste as good as possible. Why do you lie and cope by saying that it makes you feel like shit? It makes you feel awesome because its so fucking delicious, you can admit that its both delicious and also bad for your health instead of coping like a retarded woman

People don't realize how powerful this is. Whatever your addiction is, by simply not buying it, you regain so much of your own life back.

sorry pal but I just don't agree with that horseshit. I can agree that maybe it tastes good, but take burgers for example: I'd prefer, 99 times out of 100, to have a homemade burger, or maybe a restaurant made burger, over mickey D's and it's mostly to do with quality of ingredients. the proof is in the pudding. besides, mick diggles and other fast foods make me feel like shit after I eat 'em - upset stomach, indigestion, sluggishness, etc. who the fuck wants that?

agreed
eating junk food feels great and your tolerance doesn't really increase that much, so it's a great "drug" if you do it in moderation
better to binge on some chips from time to time than to needlessly suffer or do actual drugs
most people aren't built to sustainably get their dopamine from doing hyperproductive hustler shit

The whole "do it in moderation" crowd has no real concept of addiction and should refrain from posting in threads like this. There is no such thing as moderation to the addict. That's why they are an addict.

Funny. I lived the exact opposite.
My mom would almost forcefeed me the absolute most garbage bullshit like spinach, leeks whatever and processed goyslops, where I craved and begged for eggs, sausages, chicken and milk as far back as when I was a toddler. I bought a pair of dumbells by my own savings when I was 12 and tried to figure out what to do just by myself in secret. I spent my time up to 20s fat and helicoptered, I hated myself. When I got to university, I couldn't supress that need to get physical so bad anymore. Soon after I turned into an absolute creatura. That was almost a decade ago I am going on vigorously since then. These garbage slop and veggies invoke nasty feelings in me.

Mcshitters is really bad and you must not have tried it in the last few years. The once big delicious mcchicken is now a hockey puck of sadness. The quarter pounder the once only actual decent burger they had is now a small rubber disk (a hockey puck one might say.)

get into an expensive hobby, start realizing all the money you waste eating junk food slop could add up to purchasing more of whatever hobby items you're into, also realize the temporary dopamine hit from eating tasty potato chips isn't worth it long term, etc..

Nah that's just proof you have an adolescent pallete. I've made my own burgers and fries that mogged mcdicks, and my own crunchwrap that mogged taco bell. Also I genuinely can't eat fast food because the disgustingly high amount of fat upsets my stomach. It's goyslop for a reason.

You have to be conditioned to find goyslop delicious. You're right that it's designed (not scientifically, not really) to hit salt-and-fat pleasure receptors, but it's not inherently delicious without some conditioning over time. I imagine you still drink soda, based off your post, but fast food and soda can be really repulsive when a person isn't conditioned to eat/drink it. It's an oversaturation of sugars and fats that an unconditioned palate finds disgusting.

Try upping the amount and variety of fruits, berries and vegetables you eat. Also make sure you're getting enough electrolytes, especially potassium.
