I'm curious what teens/early 20s think of tats these days. I'm just old enough to remember visible tats were still not something you'd get if you were aiming to be a professional. Make no mistake, you're still not going to see neck or hand tats on anyone starting out in Big Law, investment banking, top-tier consulting, etc.But you will see the occasional forearm tat that will stay hidden in the presence of Gen X or Boomers.

But for most jobs I feel like the pendulum has started to shift and it's almost a signifier of being a lame NPC. There's certainly not the slightest thing "rebellious" about them any more.

It's become fairly normalized among us 20 somethings, however I rarely see any "unique" tattoos. It's always sleeves with clocks, wolves, people's faces and for some reason large spider tattoos on tryhard edgy eboy fags. Then there's guys/girls who gets the symbol from Berserk on their neck or something but I for some reason doubt they've seen or read any of it beyond the video edits or manga panels posted on tiktok or something.
