Yep bench is one of the most bodyweight reliant lifts around. It's the first lift to lose strength on a cut.

Have you considered training with a high rep range (more than 5 reps), working on bar path and technique while making sure you do the last grinding rep right before failure? Set up safeties or get a friend to spot you.

Also do machine press, pec deck, and dips.

why arch if u can go decline - don't see the point of flat bench when u're supposed to arch

all i got from bench was chronic fucked shoulders and enormous lats lol

i found that shoulder protraction turns lats off and decline diminishes front delt load so i do decline pushup on paraletts, then protract shoulders as far as they go without rolling em forward and then pump at the very top of movement

generally decreases rom, both total and for the joints involved which gives way better leverage

unless you for some reason store 0% fat in chest/back/arms
