Lift until you can't complete a rep and then keep the weight static as long as you can and keep pushing as your muscles slowly fail

Pause sets.
Rep out rest 20 seconds rep out again repeat until you can only get 1 or 2 reps. If you're not intimately familiar with failure after that you'll need more non-fructose carbs to have the muscle glycogen to actually get there in the future.
