I did +20kg x 8 dead hang paused above pull-ups the day before yesterday, that totals 110kg. Try training back there's no excuse to not be able to bang out a few pull-ups besides morbid obesity

Everything besides the pull-ups are things I expect untrained people to be able to do, the pull-ups are intermediate or beginner level depending on bw/height.

ye that's what I've been working on, my back is significantly weaker. not trying to make an excuse it's just retarded to expect 3x10 pull ups as a baseline for lifting

I have to remind myself to be patient with beginners. The other day, there was this girl doing single leg press with two ten pound plates on the machine, and my gym only has two leg press stations. She was taking long ass rests, too. She would probably get more benefit from doing dumbbell walking lunges or split squats, and then she wouldn't be occupying a high demand piece of equipment. I try to remember that most people don't make much of an effort to learn about lifting, but it is frustrating when the gym is crowded.

They aways have splayed elbows too. Half will have something weird going on with their legs to boot. And none have good bar travel or retracted scapulae.

would make sense for somebody who can't do a single pullup to do lat pullups until they can

also you should lift weights even if you've never done any calisthenics
some people will find bench press easier than pushups
and leg press easier than squats
dumb bait thread
