Kind of retarded. but why not tell him to do some upper back focused rows and some shrugs? Don't have to deadlift

He's lacking on his entire back idk why i added the upper detail but also >>76385264 he refuses to do anything that's not unweighted pull ups

rows of any kind at any angle including t bar
>muh spine
high intensity shrugs
>muh spine
RDL
>muh spine
Deadlift of any kind but with high volume low intensity controlled soience approved full ROM -4 RIR with a deep stretch
>MUH SPINE
Apparently his fear stems from the fact that his now 40 yo brother who used to lift 7 years ago has back pain that he correlates with deadlifts, he swears that he had proper form but never provided proof

Sounds like has some Limited beliefs. Difficult to get trough on those. Rows can be done with chest support also which limits pressure on spine, maybe that can convince him to do it. As far as deadlifts its possible to injure one self with perfect form, often its workload and weight selection and fatigue that leads to injury, not errors in form/technique. Idk what to say other then good luck!
