Hello. 34 year old, 195lb Male.

I've been lifting pretty consistently since January. I work with dumbbells from 5-75lbs. I'm working on going from 250lbs to 175. Currently at 195. I lift M-F for a hour and walk for an hour afterwards.

Since I started, I haven't been able to progress beyond 25lbs for Arnold Press and 45lbs for Bench. My program calls for progressive overload in 3x12 sets and once you can do the 3x12 you increase the weight by 1 step up. If you fail to add a rep 2x in a row you're to decrease by 2 steps and work up again.

I've had to decrease it 3 or 4 times each over the last 6 months. I am eating at a calorie defecit (around ~2k per day with 150g protein). I'm just frustrated that I keep stalling on these lifts while all of my other lifts have progressed meaningfully.

Anyone have some advice?

Op here. On my last deload, I started focusing on full range of motion, going slow, and trying to feel the mind muscle connection. I'm back to 45lbs on dumbbell press and am seemingly making progress there but I didn't reach my last number of reps on the Arnold press today.

Also, when I'm cranking out my last reps in the tank on the bench press, sometimes my left arm has trouble finishing and reaching the top and I have to concentrate specifically on moving that arm to finish the rep.
