>Legs 1x per week with high intensity

Why should I NOT do this? Leg training consumes a lot of resources and gains real estate that can be better dedicated to upper body instead... Giant legs make you look like a homo if you're a man, and they make you look like a mare if you're a woman.

I can't believe the sticky recommends sharting strength, which has people squatting thrice per week. That's insane

It is if looking good is what you care about. I do squats but i do them very meagerly, not focussed, just want to get it out of the way for the more important stuff that i always go hard at

StartingFat is not a good idea unless you want to enter local powerlifting competitions held in abandoned car parks

Its the recommendation for this site’s audience of literally untrained weaklings to build a foundation of strength. If you can’t even squat 2plate then yeah you should prioritize the big compounds and squat 3x a week until you’re not pathetic. After that you can gear your workouts toward whatever you think “looking good” is.

Sounds like a journey to herniated discs

If you can’t squat at all then it’s even worse advice. If the basics like grip and balance and posture aren’t appreciated then starting someone out with compound lifting is a terrible idea. Anyone that bad is going to do far better if they spend a year fixing their diet, going for walks and sleeping properly before they start strength training

I truly don't understand how ppl fuck up their backs with such small amounts of weight.

3pl8 is not a small amount of weight and it doesn't matter, it could be 2pl8. Loading your spine with heavy weights and doing it repeteadly is not good for long term.health

Lmao asking chatgpt for a freakin routine would be 10x better than doing sharting strength
