I’m old and considering TRT. Generally good or bad idea?

Also, I’m a /pol/tard so I’m concerned what happens if I start the stop TRT after the happening happens. So is TRT for life, or is it something I can safely stop when society collapses?

Man I’m contemplating starting it too. Pretty much every man over 30 is a candidate. They’ll say a 35 year with with levels under 300 is healthy because it’s in range but they won’t mention that the ranges come from a group of men aged 18-65 and don’t concern with specific ages. It should be ranges like
>18-25
>25-30
>30-40
And so on. You as a 35 year old man with shit libido low energy fucked up moods bad sleep all classic symptoms and a total level of like 300 and an untested free level would be told you’re healthy and some generic “it’s probably stress lol”.
If you do it go to a specialist who knows what they’re doing.
>me considering
I just don’t give a fuck anymore. I’m tired of feeling like shit. I can keep doing all the right things all I want but I’m never gonna feel as good as I did at 20, which yeah that’s normal but it doesn’t mean I’m supposed to feel like shit. Even if I felt like a normal 30 year old, I think I would want to start. Every man I have met who gets on in his 30s has basically 180’d into
>successful
>great body
>more successful socially
>happier
My barber is like 37 dude apparently had no test like 0 free and 220 total said he started a few years ago and it’s the best decision he ever made. He just did his first show. Hate the idea of being dependent on a medication but if it makes me who I wanna be then fine. I only get one life why spend it not being my best self

I'm 44 and got my T checked a couple years ago. Long story short, I wasn't low enough to get it covered by insurance. I took that as a sign to keep on going. I'll get it done every couple of years and as soon as it's low enough I'm on the sauce.

This isn't about getting all kinds of jacked, this is about quality of life. Women get on E the moment they think menopause is even remotely possible - why shouldn't we get on our T too?

And if you want to come off of it, you just taper down.

the mental gymnastics you guys go through is just surreal. nothing says that you are man more than getting your testosterone from a vial and if you skip the needle you transition into a woman. that sure is alpha behaviour!

99,999999999999999999% of the people that you see around you that are successful, married, good family relationships, great job, great career, great everything, are NOT taking exogenous testosterone. they just live naturally how god intended. you have psyopped and brainwashed yourself into believing that you need TRT so fucking badly its actually hilarious and sad

Yes, get on.

Nothing ever happens. Even if shit breaks out its not going to be big enough to prevent some chinese lab from shipping shit to you if you send them crypto. There will be lots of roiders, trannies, and trtfags who will need hormones so the black market for it would probably expand massively if traditional healthcare systems were strained or collapsed.
Also, another way to get around this is to take hCG or hMG with your TRT, which will keep your balls at least somewhat working. This, plus a stash of PCT drugs for when society shits the bed, could get you started again you needed to.

No, you can't really stop it without fucking yourself up once you've been on for a few years. I tried, and i'm still recovering from the damage having no hormones at all did to me and my body.

>>76390834
You can't just taper down. Even a small amount of test will completely shut you down, especially after being on for an extended period of time. Tapering down won't help your balls come back, it'll just make you feel progressively more shit until you stop taking it and your body is finally forced to try to restart your balls.

Because HRT doses of E have little to no negative health effects, whereas T reliably reduces life expectancy.

Even low dose TRT is going to shrink your balls, permanently, permanently reduce your fertility, and if you come off, your t levels will be lower forever than the otherwise would have been.

But I made zero mention(whatsoever) of those people. Will you next bring up that population of monk seals stranded in the Philippines that’s been eating people?
>that are successful, married, good family relationships, great job, great career, great everything, are NOT taking exogenous testosterone
Because they probably don’t have a need for it. I’m not sure what you hoped to achieve or what your exact point is but it is overwhelmingly clear you have the reading comprehension of a down syndrome gnat and can possibly stand to benefit from the clarity focus and calmness TRT would bring you. Because you are spazzing out over your own misunderstanding (inability to read) which is a sign of elevated estrogen and low testosterone

lol this is total horse shit not only does your body seek to reach its old homeostasis (which is what it does and the balls regain their size fertility comes back), but even pros abusing grams of gear a week have proven for the last 60 years that what you posted is bullshit. Like Mr. O tier pros have stopped and started families many times. TRT ain’t doing that. My nuts actually got bigger after I recovered.
So many of you proving to have no clue about exogenous test usage, or steroids at all.

I agree that permanent reduction of fertility and natural T output isn't true, but it takes a whole lot longer than a few weeks to restore after years of shutdown. If a bodybuilder is cycling off, this isn't an issue because they are only in shutdown for the length of the cycle. For TRTfags and blastncruisers, they're shit is shutdown the entire time. It took me 4 months to resume even a bit of natural test when I tried to come off, and it was hypogonadic. PCT helps greatly, but it can take up to a year to have full T back. Fertility is a different issue. Using hCG while on tends to preserve fertility. If you didn't do that, you may need an regimen of high dose hCG, hMG, LH/FSH, to restore full function. Almost everyone can get full function back. Permanent infertility is almost unheard.

I don't care about testicular atrophy. Doesn't seem to affect most people's ability to restore natural function WITH the proper regimens.
Treating TRT like "oh just come off and you'll be fine in a few weeks" is insane. You will literally go through hell for months even with PCT.

It legit fucked me up real bad, looked and felt the worst I've ever felt in my life.
I didn't do a good PCT though. No Clomid, just hCG.
Took me a few months of being on again to start regaining my health and confidence.

It didn't really upset me, it's okay for you to want me to remove it. I'm not going to, because I like the way it looks on me. I don't inherently mind others doing it tastefully. It just tends to be the case that I don't like alternative people, or zoomer aesthetic grifting and trend hopping.

We all have ways we accessorize and personalize ourselves and our property. I'm sure there are things I could point out about you and say "stop doing that now! wont do it? haha you're a cattle trendslave!".
If I did just listen to some random guy, that would certainly make me cattle. It's not like you would ever say that to someone's face though.

>>76391011
Didn’t see the original anons post, yeah a few weeks is dumb. But “permanently” is just plain untrue. It’s rare for especially TRT to cause those issues permanently. Half a decade on, maybe your nuts will be small if not just slightly atrophied. A decade maybe you have fertility issues but most don’t have any at all. Come off, no PCT, give it 3-6 months and you should be back at normal. Many guys can and have even recovered to higher than their pre TRT normal.

I’m not reading your back and forth but most tattoos look like shit. Most people who get them just want attention. There’s one archetype of guy who looks good with them and even then the entire appeal there is for women who don’t realize they’re seeing him as “impulsive possibly dangerous probably will bring me drama (fun and emotional fulfillment)” idk what the style of tat is but you know the type of guy im referring to.

When every soiboy Portland liberal beta cuck has amtrad tats to larp like a real man sailor from the 50s despite that he’s only ever worked in office jobs never served military never done shit difficult it no longer has any meaning whatsoever. Think Idubbbz. Weak YouTuber who’s pig wife liked traditional old school navy type men so he got a bunch of tats like that so she would find him attractive. This can be said for most tats.
And at the end of the day who cares? If you don’t like them don’t get them. End of story

It's not a magic drug, but if you have low T, you'll feel a lot better probably. For me, I was after it because in my 30s my energy levels were perma btfo and I was getting pissed about it. Regular (overweight) doc said my blood work is excellent and basically went "I dunno lmao" while refusing to even test T levels. Went two separate "men's health clinics" aka drug mills to get blood tests, to make sure neither one was scamming me on the levels. Came back close enough and both showed low levels. Used the closer one who happily and effortlessly prescribed me 100mg/wk.

Injections suck for like a week then you get good at them and they only take a minute or two. Energy up. Lifts up. Libido up. More body hair. Downside is a little chest acne. Balls did get smaller, but they were big enough prior to get in the way all the time while jogging, so net positive to me. Dick still works great.
