>get your doctor to sign off on an exercise program
>stick to machines, body weight exercises where the risk of getting guillotine'd by a barbell/smith is minimized
>always use safeties or have a spotter if you use a barbell

>going to 4chan for advice on how to lift weights above your body when u have regular seizures
Please be joking. Just talk to a doctor like another anon said, or better yet a personal trainer/physical therapist for one session then bring whatever workout plan they came up with to a doctor for their opinion. Pushing your muscles to their limits, to the point that they’re breaking down to rebuild, is what weightlifting is all about. Even without dropping a weight on your foot or neck you can still just end up with plain old tears if you have a seizure while your muscles are pumped and mid-contraction, so take this shit seriously and don’t assume you can wing it without repercussions.

Y’know what let me correct myself I just woke up to piss and I’m barely conscious. Do not take the steps like I laid them out. The only one qualified to handle how to safely work a body through something like this is a physical therapist, ask your doctor to recommend one that he knows or can get info from easily, have said PT develop a plan and show you how it’s done, ask PT if you’re good to get a personal trainer to help out with this every week or two. This is something all beginners should do to keep their form in check, for you it’s even more important to do so so don’t skimp, you’re already saving money over regularly seeing the PT. Just go back to the PT whenever you want to update your program, and again, make sure he and your doctor can communicate easily so that your doctor stays in the loop. I’m not trying to break your bank but anyone with a legitimate concern of regular and immediate seizures is on insurance so this shouldn’t be much of a problem. 10 or so personal trainer sessions over 10-20 weeks should be enough to ingrain how to maintain form properly and the medical professionals only need to be seen for this a couple times.

> should I just workout at home
How do you gurantee you don't hurt yourself by dropping the weight at home? You can on some lifts i suppose, bench and squat with safties should be alright, deadlifts should be fine too, but i don't see how you can gurantee you won't drop the weight on your head with OHP for example. Very lifting specific. I'd avoid dumbbells, that's for sure.
