Seriously, why do normies take his advice, and listen to him? Literally EVERYONE I know that starts gymming follows his bullshit advice.


The reason Im confused is when I came up, I followed guys like Candito and Blaha and people clowned me saying "you dont wanna look like that so dont train like that". Looking back, fair, though I still got love for candito. Instead everyone followed advice of sliced bodybuilders.

But why has it switched now? the RP guys look like shit, so why is every normie obsessed witht hem and their bullish advice?

Whats the switch? is it cause their style of training is lazy and novel?

Their style of training is the most overcomplicated mess ever.
You want a tricep exercise? Let me tell you about 20 different ones, and how exercise x is worse than y, unless you do y a certain way. And that's just for one muscle group, not one muscle; there are separate exercises for them too.
They really turned something that the most braindead people used to do into rocket science.

the average person considers "science" to be a mark of truth, and they stereotype lifters as being dumb jocks. therefore when they want to know how to lift, they look for "scientific" advice. mike has the veneer of science in his presentation, and a large following, which convinces many people to listen

If you just train the main compounds, and train them hard, and target certain muscles like the biceps or delts with machines/dumbbells, and go to failure regularly, you will get results. Normies don't want to hear that. They don't want to accept they just need to train harder. They want some silly app that tells them they need to do horizontal curls to get past their 14 inch arms.

Appeal to authority. Afaik RP was the most watched fitness channel the last few years. More watched for example than Sam Sulek. Why or how did that happen? I cant answer that specifically, but that's why they follow his advice.

For me, nothing has changed though. Kinobody, Jeff Seid, etc. If you want to look like them, you should train like them. Pretty simple. I don't train like a marathon runner, I don't do calisthenics, I don't do powerlifting, I don't do Mr. Olympia training, I train like the people who have in my opinion the ideal physique train like.

Eventually I am doing retarded shit like 12-16 sets per session for chest and I am giving it my all per set. I hit a brick fucking wall. Much better sticking to the tried and true 10-20 sets where I settle on even the lower end of that

Candytoe was a solid source especially around his time when most of the info around was shit. Blahino was always a shitter who changed opinion every vid because he was clueless himself. Tried to attract viewers by engaging in natty or not drama. Guy can't accept that there are people out there squatting 300kg+ natty since he only does 220kg with years of roiding.

Israetel when he came up was sensible and actually had a scientific background. He didn't used to post a lot of vids but the ones he made were solid. Nowadays he spams videos, quality has been lowered, and I honestly think he's losing it mentally with the fkn back skin removal / liposuction. If he wants to look better he should shave off all that upper body hair and fix the gut (prob stop steroid abuse). He fails to realize people would respect him more if he stopped roids, got skinnier and explained his reasons. He's in his 40s and should rly start to prio his health.

Starting strength is a good way for noob lifters with zero experience to build up a basic foundation.

It's not supposed to be something you do for years unless you just want to be a powerlifter who only cares about squat, bench and DL gains.

You do SS for however many months then switch to a brosplit, PPL, full-body or whatever the hell you decide to do.

I fell for this stupid fucking high volume bullshit at first. I overtrained to a point I literally bled out my ass and had to see a doctor. I had to take some time to adjust and stop listening to fat roiders. Now with lower volume and higher intensity the gains are plentiful.
