This, aging is more genetics than anything else. There are things you can do to improve your odds of aging better, but even the extent of how much those things help has a lot to do with your genes.
I'm 34 and I know guys around my age who look about their exact age, guys who look the same as they did 10 years ago, and guys who are 33-35 but look like they're in their mid 40s at least. It's anecdotal evidence of a genetic crapshoot because I know guys in each group who either drank/drugged themselves stupid for years or never got heavily into substances at all.
I also knew guys who were halfway up the Norwood scale by the time they were 25-26. Early-onset MPB is probably the worst factor in premature aging, because it's completely outside of your control and it will easily make any man look older than he is. If you take a random man's face whether he's 25 or 55, he's going to look younger with a full head of hair.
Being /fit/ is probably the best way to improve your odds, because one thing you can do if you're in your late 20s or your 30s and worried about aging badly, do NOT let yourself get fat. Not only will it make you look older, you'll start having all kinds of health problems in your 40s that thinner people don't start to have until their 60s. It's also harder to get rid of the fat the older you get.
Oh and try not to wind up in the nuthouse. Crazy pills make you look 10 years older, especially the strong stuff.
