Is it cool to grunt and make weird faces when lifting? Sometimes I feel like it motivates the people around me

I always brap on my last rep to assert dominance.

It's not motivating, it's slightly irritating. If it's obvious that someone is doing it not because they are really struggling to get those last few reps, but because they want everyone to know they are lifting "heavy" weights, then I fucking hate them. Same with people slamming weights after every set, when they clearly didn't struggle.

But you do you.

Last time i did bench the last two reps i said come on and grunted. I didnt mean to, but its automatic. Overall i feel like grunting gives you easier access to your full potential. I don't really try to be loud and annoying, but if i have to grunt, i'll grunt.

>grunt
No
>make weird faces
I don't know, but I make this face while running.

I grunt extremely loudly on my last few sets/reps for squats because I always go RPE 9-10. Sometimes for bench but less often. Some guy once asked me if I was ok and said it sounded like I was screaming. I also played anime music at max volume from my phone for my last squat set because I forgot my headphones and my gym was playing mind numbing country music. I'm 6'2 315lbs though. A few years ago I would bring bluetooth speakers and play anime music at a loud volume but I was more low inhibition back then, plus there were less clout chasing tiktokers filming every little thing.

I grunt when I'm alone at gym at last few reps, sometimes with other people but it's probably my shyness that controls it. When I hear other people grunts it doesn't motivate me only makes me look at them like "wtf is going on"

If it happens it happens. When I lift real heavy I involuntarily bare my teeth, so I get it, but...
>feel like it motivates the people around me
That's cringey & retarded.

Is it acceptable? Yes. Is it cool? I don't think anyone is gonna think you're cool for grunting.

Grunting is fine.
Screaming or abruptly letting go of the weights like a roided out monkey is not.
