2) Got to decide the weight progression (this is also why Shaw didn't attempt it; he wasn't a fan of the progression as having one big jump at the end was not something he wanted to risk - he has said so in his podcast)
3) Got to decide the amount of rest between each attempt
4) Got to decide the order of the attempts
The other competitors literally did not have any input into this. Eddie in fact took so long circle jerking after his 500kg lift that the other competitors were completely cooled off by then and had absolutely no chance to do it (and no, they couldn't just continue to warm up backstage as that would have worn them out more).
So let's not pretend Eddie's lift was some super legit competition.
