How much should a beginner lift in the main compounds exercises(bench press, deadlift, squat, pull up)?

I did. I have a parameter, but I can only speak for myself, but I need other people experiences to have a solid foundation.

I'm talking about the weight a beginner is capable of lifting in compounds moviments.

Shit man I don't remember. When I started out I had a shitty pair of squat stands and I was scared of adding weight. Didn't hit 60KG squat until I started using a rack. Anyways if I remember right I think I was around 40-45 bench, 30 OHP, 50 squat for the first couple of months. Maybe like 80-90 deadlift.

It's not a competition, plus everyone's body is different
You should lift in such a way that you can complete your assigned physical tasks without pain and with health

My dude is right. It doesn't matter. Worry about where you'll be in 3 years. Oh, and eat more. You're a beginner and you know nothing. You think you're eating enough. You ain't. Eat more.

Not OP but I literally recognized that last fucking week. I was also fat, so that sentence should also read >eat more QUALITY (protein).

It doesn't matter.
Just lift until you feel a little bit of a struggle.
Congrats that's your new starting point.

If you rush things you'll injure yourself and the downtime not lifting will be way more time than if you take the safe route.
It's the journey man, not the goal.

This this this. However, progressive overload is sometimes hard to nail, I had to quit mid-set and quit an extra set because I was feeling the cramps in one case and numbness in the other. Sometimes I wonder if I'm burning out my muscles as well as I could, other times I'm thankful I didn't visit snap city.

As others said start with the bar, and focus on the long term not so much on short term.

But to give a safe estimate for the standard not so gifted individual.

squat between 30-50kg
deadlift between 40 and 60kg
Bench press between 30-40kg
ohp between 20 and 30kg

This is /fit/ so...
OHP At least 405 pounds for 10 reps
Bench at least 600 pounds for 8 reps
Squats no less than 800 pounds for 5 reps
And when it comes to deadlifts well if your 1RM isn't at least 1000 pounds after a month in the gym are you really trying?

Not OP but 3 weeks in, started with the bar, bar + 10kg for deadlift
>squat 45kg
>deadlift 60kg
>bench 32.5kg - still feels fairly easy
>ohp 27.5kg
Nothing to write home about but just autistically doing stronglifts and enjoying actually getting off my ass for once in my life
Just hoping my form isn't fucked as I haven't had any help with that outside of my own research

good for you, anon
keep pushing consistently and aim for the 1/2/3/4 (60 ohp, 100 bench, 140 squat, 180 dead)

also research form, dont be afraid to check out quick jeff nippard guides on youtube, takes 2 minutes of active listening and should make sure you don't hurt yourself

also, disregard people frowning at your lifts, everyone is new at some point, and we all start at different genetic steps on the ladder

It took me ten years of on and off to reach 1/2/3/4

Depends on what your physique is like when you start out. I was like 140lbs when I started and I was scronny as hell only benching like 100lbs but ik that someone heavier than me with more fat could probably do more so it really just depends on where you're starting at

it depends on the person, nigga. what kind of retard question is this? a 5'7 twink is most likely going to lift a lot less than a 6'3, 230 pound guy when they're both beginners

If you're a twink with 0 sport background, empty bar or 10kg on each side
If you've trained before or have sport experience but novice to lifting, 2pl8 on deadlift, your bodyweight on squats and 1pl8 on bench should be achievable in less than a month or even your first session depending on weight height etc
If you're a fat fuck and over 5'10 and cant 1/2/3/4 just kill yourself already

My biggest reasons for starting this were to gain discipline (which I sorely lacked), to be healthier, and to become the kind of person who actually goes out and does hard things
Have I started to fantasize about getting ripped now that I've started? kek, absolutely

Thanks anon, gives me a long term goal other than just show up 3 days a week, will hone in on form as much as I can with those videos
I don't really look at other people to notice if they're judging, but that's just the autism lol
