Idk about everyone else, but it's been a lifelong attraction for me; possibly because I competed in track and field most of my life. Most women who do distance/run have abs in some capacity, but gymnasts also tend to have defined abdomens. It's indicative of physical fitness, which is attractive for me. The typical bimbo with fake tits, bloated duck lips, the average influencer--as it would seem--is what mainstream portrays as beauty but the caked on makeup can go die in a ditch. I've always found girls who wear no makeup, at most a bit of eye liner perhaps, to be far more attractive and truly advertising their appearance.
Not to say, that not being attracted to a girl with abs is a negative, but it possibly is due to a lack of exposure, or exposure to a different standard of "beauty" that one has grown accustomed to. Chronic masturbators also tend to get off to whatever is "new," so from a fetish standpoint that could be the case, I suppose...
The whole misnomer bullshit that it makes a woman look "masculine" is cope for fatties who probably can't get abs themselves. You don't accidentally get abs without a bitchin' metabolism, maybe. Maintaining abs takes quite a bit of discipline both in the kitchen/gym/athletic front of one's lifestyle. That type of dedication is also attractive.
I think, more often than not, men fall prey to the mainstream telling them that men have unrealistic beauty standards and because of this the cool thing to do is accept anyone woman, however they come, which nowadays seems to be mostly fat, lazy, brain rotted, and looking for a replacement parent/guardian rather than a spouse or partner in life. Fat, plain and simple = lazy. Abs just aren't on lazy women, so there's another flagship appeal I suppose.
Some dudes want to slap their girl's ass and feel like they just slapped a bowling ball, some dudes want to slap their girl's ass and feel like they slapped a water bed. I'll never understand the latter, but to each their own
