Seriously, nobody finds right good looking right? I know the same can be kinda said for the male olympia too but I feel like it's a bigger disconnect in the women's division

yeah most people don’t find that look attractive outside the sport, especially in the women’s division. it’s extreme and so far removed from everyday aesthetics that it just doesn’t register as “good looking” to most folks. in male olympia it’s also niche, but dudes get a bit more leeway for being jacked. with women, society tends to expect a totally different standard so the disconnect feels even wider. it’s impressive, but not what most would call attractive.

Yeah mostly this but with male bodybuilding it was an intentional (but still wrong) choice whereas with the women I think it's more of an accidental consequence of what they allowed the men to get away with. I'm not even sure the muscle fetishists who run the IFBB wanted women to go this far since it's not even marketable in any way but they didn't have much choice. If they let the men take every drug known to mankind until they look like mutant steers they can't really turn around and start drug testing the women

It's honestly a combination of likely mommy issues and a reflection of my own body image problems. Both my parents were fat fucks so a woman who's deeply. obsessively committed to fitness feels "safer" as a partner. The emotion I feel when I see varbies in the wild is so deep and visceral that it's beyond a fetish, beyond anything even sexual. It's an externalized anima, the divine feminine, the goddess, or whatever, and it's an energy you want to draw close to and feel to help you cope with how lame life can be

I've been training obsessively for over a decade now, and a big part of what spurred that on was seeing a really roided girl at my college do hanging crunches on a pull-up bar. It fired something in my brain and those kinds of extreme bodies are both what I'm drawn to and what I want to have for myself. I'm a tall DYEL because I've never pinned but the regular people at my job or in public mire me a lot, especially my arms and shoulders.

It's not so much that a varbie would "fix" me but moreso that I need a woman who would be able to tolerate the time I spend training without it compromising the relationship. She'd either have to be a female DYEL or better. I have a naturally big frame so I'm just trying to lean out for now.
