Am I just being a bitch by not asking them to use the bench when my gym has 3 and they're just all talking and being obnoxious on all of them?

If you approach with good intentions, most people will match that.

I refuse to go to an expensive gym. They're not expensive because their equipment is really good, it's because the price prohibits unwanteds from entering. Most nigs in the gym (or sandnigs that you have here in Europe..) are well behaved in the gym and are little to no threat.
