Power shrugs, Alphadestiny is right. I've prioritised power shrugs since I started the gym, I'm natty so they're not especially huge but they're my strongest muscle and disproportionately bugger than the rest of me mooscles

Shrug up and inward toward your neck.

Don't shrug backward at all. Use straps so you can do farmer carries immediately afterward when you're done shrugging to failure. Works much better.

Just heavy weights and play around with the 7-10 rep range.

Like lats I’m convinced a lot of it is down to posture and genetics. My traps (one more than the other) are massive, I don’t train them directly and I’m DYEL otherwise.

It's dead easy, you just gotta do some combination of Dumbbell OHP, heavy deadlift and squats, nothing else required.

Bruh learn to pose. Roll your shoulders forward (push your elbows back) and you'll figure out how to activate your traps. Nobody sees their traps maxed out from the front, in bodybuilding shows they do The Strongest pose to show them off. I think you're insertion-coping.

You have misconception of what the trapezius muscle actually is. Its not only the top part. Also you probably don't go to failure. Who knows how weak you are. Whats ur max DL?

You can go ridiculously heavy on these especially on a smith machine. 3pl8 easily after a few weeks 4pl8 by a year 4x8-10. My traps exploded from doing that.

exactly this, but u keep spine straight and don't bob your head forward - keep double chin - and that's it :D just shoulders to ears, don't hold the weight, use 2 light dumbbells and just rest them in your palms, don't grip don't bend elbows, straight up AND HOLD

the reason traps are not growing is because u are not using them, u are not doing the *i do not know* motion, traps, levator scapulae, sternocleidomastoid are not used enough when u bob your head forward jiggling weight that's orders of magnitutde too high for the movement

i got the best results using a barbell in the power rack (home gym masterrace). set the bar so you only have to lift it an inch or less, load that fucker up heavy and do your shrugs. I mean real heavy. you'll be surprise what you can actually lift.
