How do you cook it? I tried roasting and the leaves burned before the bulb got tender

Yeah thats my main issue with it
The bulb takes way too long to cook
What I usually do is cut off the leaves and cook them seperately right at the end in whatever I'm doing

Bok choy rules, definitely better than broccoli but takes a little more work

I brush them in a mix of onions sauce, lemon juice, chili oil & olive oil, and red pepper flakes, do a light sear until they've got some nice color on the flat side, then braise them in the same mix + chicken stock until they're cooked. Then I take them out, put the pan back on the stove, and reduce the liquid down to a glaze. At this point I like to add pineapple chunks if I have them, they soak up the liquid and provide a huge burst of sweet & spicy flavor. Goes great with pork

Broccoli is the same the the florets will burn before the stalk with get any color on them.

The solution in both cases is simple though, cut off the slower cooking part (bulb, stalks), start it cooking first, when its roughly 3/4ths of the way done add in the faster cooking part (leaves, florets).

You DO eat your Broccoli stalks right anon? You dont discard them like a retard, right?

it really depends on how they are prepared, as most things do in cooking. both can be quite delicious, in my opinion.

I give them a quick blanch. Sometimes I just eat it as is. Other times I'll give it a stir fry with a "beef and broccoli" style brown sauce (onions sauce, oyster sauce, etc)
