After most meals, even after small ones (around 300 kcal, 24 protein), I find that hours later I am left feeling like the food I ate isn't digesting as efficiently and as fast as it should. It feels like it's almost just kind of sitting there.
Also, maybe I should also mention the fact that I am bloated/distended after pretty much every meal, no matter what foods it contains.

Anyone struggles with this? Any supplement recommendations?

Gastro paresis can be pretty serious. There are a lot of causes, and sometimes no cause at all. You’re bloated and gassy because the food you ate is slowly digesting in your stomach instead of your small intestine.

See a doctor.

I have this problem too. The only thing that helps is eating small meals and I prioritize fruits and other simple carbs. Turns out I don’t need as much fat or protein as I thought.

I have full gastroparesis from my esophagus all the way through my stomach and intestines. It is a nightmare to eat food and takes over 16 hours for it to pass through my system compared to normal people who do it in a round 4 to 6 hours.
Go to a doctor and eat the radioactive pb&j and have them do some diagnostics because I still haven't gotten mine fixed as I'm waiting for more testing and shit.
The sooner the better anon.
At least you aren't at the point where you are vomiting blood and ending up in the ER yet.
Good luck.

Remove all fat based sauces, try using tzaziki instead, like 100g per meal. Make your own, it's a probiotic with prebiotics thrown in, there's a chance it will be enough, and even if it doesn't solve your issue, it can't hurt

I have some bad news

Though having a valve installed into your stomach to manually release the build up of gasses could at least have some comedic value.

Are you consuming weed, cigarettes, coffee?
I had similar issue, my stomach felt like food stuck in there, and after bigger meals for the next 30mins felt on the verge of passing out. Also had panic attacks as i was falling asleep.
Went to the doctors urine + blood test all was fine. Felt underwhelming since it felt like dying + had panic attacks as i was falling asleep.
Decided to manhandle it, 1week w/o coffee fixed everything(few months prior they switched coffee machines at work, think thats what fucked with my gut) fuck the doctors they wont do shit if their little machines dont detect x,y particles in your blood
