Stuck in the perpetual cycle of "two more weeks of cutting", with the proverbial carrot on a stick being a burger I won't allow myself until I'm satisfied.

You're dehydrated from starvation mode, you can long cut or long bulk by only adding cuts to when you are tapped out with joints and cns fatigue, both take a week to get to(cns assuming hard legs cardio and consecutive heavy sets) if going hard for the sake of cutting soon. Like the other guy said, you’re gonna plateau. Bulking is real, you just have to not let yourself get obese and eat as clean as possible so you don’t get bloated and get acne. Obviously past a certain level of development you can’t feasibly eat clean anymore, and that’s at the point where if you still care to make gains you should probably do gear.

So I finished my cut last friday. I didnt really go as far as I could or should, but given that I had ac resection surgery 3 months ago that made me skip the gym for the 6 entire weeks i guess its fine. Now i have to finish my rehab so i can start pushing serious weights again (hopefully). In this pic i am about 81 kg at 183 cm.

6'2" 195lbs 31yo, training to break a 4:35 mile at the end of the year to prove that I'm still young and fit. I've lost most of my gym strength but it's fun being lean again. Just starting a cut, hoping to reach ~8% bodyfat and 180lbs by the time I race. The trick will be not getting injured while cutting and increasing work volume.

Girlfriend likes how I look but made me promise not to lose all my muscles, she doesn't care about abs as much.

My routine for back is three times a week wide grip lat pull-down for 4 sets all together. Three sets of upper lat rows with the seat high sprinkled twice a week. Upper back rows done just for a set twice a week with Kelso shrugs recently added now done for a set three times a week and just two seats of uni lateral rear delt work.

The pic is from when I finished my cut maybe 3 weeks ago, since then I added 600kcal at first, and scale weight didn’t move for 2 weeks, so I added another 200kcal now for a total of 800 above what I was cutting at, and my scale weight still hasn’t moved, not even a pound

So I’m gonna stick to this for another month and see if it’s just delayed

Also getting results from a blood test in the next few days, to see if low test is causing my piss poor sleep, like 4 hours a night

I don't prioritise bench. It has always been my weakest lift, maybe my arms are long for it, but I've always found it lagged without prioritising it and I can't prioritise everything. Ik im gonna get ripped apart here so heres context, just had major chronic illness the past few years. since a couple months ago got well enough for cardio and light weights (cant lift heavy for now cause heart complications but the cure for my heart issues is fitness so itll go away eventually just gotta go real slow.) Just started going to the gym 2 months ago. Im just doing stretches, planks and dead bugs, cycling for 30 mins and rows for about a mile and free weight chest presses 20 lbs dumbells 3x10 3 sets every other day, slowly increasing resistance and weight.

Should i go on a cut right away? Just consume a bunch of lean protein and lose like 5 or 10 pounds?

Despite the flub, i can feel some muscles coming up that werent there before. Particularly my leg muscles are doing decent ( dont have full body mirror because of all the biking and cardio im doing but upper body is disappointing
