Former competitive rower here. Rowing, especially once you learn the correct technique, is incredible strength-endurance training, maybe the best in the world. Hypertrophy not so much, mostly quads, upper back, forearms. Pic two legendary rowers that didn't lift weights, only rowing and cycling.
