wish there was a vegan general thread
i like being vegan, its relatively easy to hit protein and i am inherently morally superior to others

You can always just make one
>but it's gonna be dead

Then why would you want a vegan general?

why though?

literally any diet gets shit on here
rightfully so
because it doesn't matter
humans can adapt

and there isn't that much about veganism in /fit/ context to discuss
>Tofu, Tempeh, Seitan, TVP, nutritional yeast etc.
are all general recommendation
not vegan exclusive

>Raised estrogen levels due to soi
not sure if you are joking
but phytoestrogens are actually antiestrogenic in low doses like you'd get from tofu, tvp, beer etc.

in really high doses
like menopause medication or chugging soi protein isolate by the kilos
it acts estrogenic

i think the highest study (I know) was with participants eating 500g of Tofu per day (~90g soi protein)
and it had a mildly antiestrogenic effect while raising free test
which is pretty ideal for lifting

but somewhat tells me
that those "vegan influencers"
don't actually eat protein (like Tofu or Tempeh)
and only sugary or ultra processed crap, which incidentally is made out of soi because it's cheap
nor do they work out...

Anon I'm sorry, I'd usually be willing to give the benefit of the doubt here and would agree with what you said in a reasonable scenario, but it's manifestly fucking obvious that these two are underweight and that their skin has suffered. Your argument is something like looking at a picture of someone before and after Auschwitz and saying that it's just the fucking lighting and photo quality. Get real man

I go nearly vegetarian when I'm cutting but I'll never get veganism. Cheese and eggs are GOATED foods you must be severely mentally ill to refuse to eat them.

Veganism is another white humiliation ritual.

The SAD diet is awful, and we can probably all benefit \from eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. But the carniphobia behind most vegans is what is noteworthy. They are morally, spirutally, ethically and healthily afraid of meat.

One of the few times were "phobia" is used correctly.

So its the LDL thing. Okay Not worried about that. Is there an insulin resistance peice as well? Also, not worried about that.

What the fuck are we supposed to be eating as fat sources if not animal fats? Post industrial era seed oils? That's supposed to be healthy? Or is olive oil literally the only other source of oil we should be getting our fat from. Because that doesnt make sense.

Animal fat IS the fat we are supposed to be consuming. I undertsnad "the studies" can show that corn oil has positive effects on this bio marker and that sunflower oil has positive affects on that bio marker and that rape seed oil has lots of this fatty acid or that fatty acid.....we know this.

The studies are bullshit.

Non-processed foods like nuts, seeds, avocados/olives, even fish has more more unsaturated fats than saturated and lean mean for protein

I get not liking processed industrial seed oils and such but there is alot of evidence that even that type of oil is better than saturated fat
Anonymous No.76475042
>>76474872
>I get not liking processed industrial seed oils
the hate against it already doesn't make much sense
the tiny tiny amount of anti oxidants and vitamins lost doesn't really matter
and hexan is a meme, you can't even detect it in the end product

not that I advocate for it
eat as few oils as possible and if chose the less processed ones like cold pressed

but
if any of this matters
you either you drink way too much oil or you micro optimized in the per mille range
Anonymous No.76475079
>>76474806
>Post industrial era seed oils? That's supposed to be healthy?
it's not
but it's not the problem people make it out to be here
IF consumed in small quantities

you should be much more worried about the goyslob you otherwise consume

if you only eat clean, non ultra processed food
and hit your macros + micros
there really isn't much difference in health outcomes if you use 1 tablespoon of tallow, rapeseed oil, lard, olive oil or whatever else you want daily

>Animal fat IS the fat we are supposed to be consuming
if you want to go full paleo / evolutionary
calories from animals range from <5% to almost 100%, depending on which part of the world you look at

in tropical parts humans got most of their fat from palm oil or cocunuts
or subtropical americas where hickory nuts, acorns and acorns were majority of fat sources and stored
while central europe had a mix of majority big / small game, from meat and bone marrow and some nuts / seeds
