literally fucking impossible. I went from 257 lbs to 148 and even with ab workouts I STILL cannot fucking get visible abs. I went from fat fuck to skinny fuck and I still look like shit. I've tried surplus, deficits, cuts, bulks, everything, EVERYTHING while doing ab workouts and nothing fucking works

This is a fucking genetic RNG nightmare and it pisses me off that's just luck. There is no fucking way to get visible abs for some people like me

Whats your body fat percentage at. You arent going to see abs like ghost until 5% and you wont really see any until 10%. Also you almost certainly have better labs at 148 than 257. I went from 195 to 164 and improved a ton.

are you contracting your ab muscles when you're doing these "ab exercises"?
contract then relax on every rep
you should feel them harden like you're about to take a punch to the stomach and when you do crunches you should feel the muscles compress into eachother and then relax and elongate when you lay back down
I'm pretty chunky right now but can still see the outline of my abs and in the right light looks like I have a full blown 6 pack

I can see my top 4 abs and adonis belt when flexed in good down light at like 20% bf, I skipped abs for the most part too

Extremely fair skin complexions just can't get abs for shit. Your skin reflects too much light. The darker your skin, the more visible your abs. And even then, you have to be in the right lighting.

Body hair also fucks with ab visibility. But I'd rather have body hair than a six pack.

you either don't have developed abs, or your genes are so, you actually don't have the standard looking abs, but rather flat wall, cuz that's a possibility as well, even tho rare, but I doubt.
Train your abs with weights and progress on the exercises, just like you develop any muscle, not with just crunches on the floor, fucking useless

my abs only start poppin hard when I started doing atleast 2 ab exercises everyday, yes they recover fast, also you might have to still lose 5kg to get them to show

Take a dexascan to find your body fat percentage. I used to be 450lbs, I fasted/CICO down to 170lbs (no abs), then went to the gym and got abs in 5 months just using Strong Lifts compound lifts, mostly because I cut down to 14% bf. Visible abs are most just the result of low body fat, you probably already have the muscle.
