If i just do the barbell workouts with no weights until i am strong enough to add weights, will it work? i feel like it is cheating only doing 20mins of workout and 30mins of massage chair

like olympic barbell? the 20kg one? just get a set of adjustable 15kg dumbbells then you could actually work on your biceps, traps, delts and so on. like what you gonna do with a metal stick that has no extra weight on it

Gym every other day and just do the barbell work outs my boyfriend showed me
He said my form is good and it is ok to do it with no weights
But i feel stupid doing it when he isnt with me

Honestly 20min workouts are indicative of a lack of effort to create the necessary stress to make any change
You are headed to the "i worked out for 3 years straight and here's a before and after that look identical" results
If starting with the bar is where you need to start, fine, but add weight and volume as necessary or you will not change anything
You have to cause enough stress to disrupt homeostasis then eat and sleep enough to recover from it to elicit an adaptation of strength, size or both
It should be difficult, if it's not then that's a big red flag

Oh i will add weight eventually but right now i shake if i do too many reps at once
I don’t want the muscles to show too much btw i just want to be as strong as possible
